OK, a policeman... you must've been thinking on other things!!!

Take it as a lesson, listen and learn. 3 points are better than smashing the car. Does your car not scream in 3rd???

After my accident awareness course, I did the IAM driving course and test. It was very helpful (apart from 3 weeks after passing, i was rushing and got zapped by a fixed camera). Then I found out all about speed awareness!!!

Well my life seems to be about managing depleting amounts of cash. Much like Skinty really! In the worst case scenario ie. No interest in buying or renting the house I shall have to last until 15th August when my pay will go up. The cash reserves (£200 - wow really...that much) are depleting and it's about managing those. Everything gets pushed to the 'start' of the month ie. the 15th.

I have lined the painter up for about 15th June (there you go!) so he can paint the back of the house. Really I should get a roofer to cement the edge of the roof and if the house was renting or is to be rented I still might when the people get in. But really I think it looks okay. We'll see what the agents think later in the month.

I am currently in the process of listing a motorbike security chain, a motorbike security D lock, an all weather jacket, a chest of drawers and my motorcycle luggage back on gumtree. I go home on 13th to waterproof and paint the back of the garage, get three agents round, get prices and get the house on the market.

My father hasn't rang me and I haven't rang him and this is fine, infact this is quite nice.

The next decision is whether to go down to a national event in August that I go to every year. I'd love to go but I shouldn't be spending the money. May have to wait and see how things look on the house front.

I hate feeling like my life is on hold.

Still, on a more positive note, I haven't made any more nettle soup.

Right better cut short this missive and list my next lock. I put a bit of wit in the last ad. Selling a HUGE chain and I said 'No longer have the bike, sold not nicked, so I don't need the chain. And I've stopped using a chastity belt so I don't need it for that either!'

Is there any likelihood of students wanting the house later in the year Butti? Not sure if it would be handy for any colleges or unis but maybe a chance of new folk looking soonish?

Maybe Skinty. It is enroute between an offshoot campus and the main campus. That was one of the attractions for mad PhD student. We shall see.

I am fairly focused on getting it sold to be perfectly honest. I've got the painter lined up and my workload lined up and I'm going to ask for volunteers in the next couple of days.

Nearly had a heart attack yesterday. Card declined at the supermarket. Still 12 days till pay day. Still gas/electric and one large credit card to come out first. Had some rogue element cleaned my bank account out?
Went into bank today...£400 under O/D limit with about £120 to come out on DD's.
Why do banks do that? Is it easier to get their money back through probate?

At this rate we shall survive getting through to my pay increase in 8 weeks time!

I also think I can do my annual pilgrimage to celebrate all that is holy about beer . Off to investigate that. May not sort accommodation out till I have sold some things but will investigate.

Off to visit a friend in South Wales for 5 days. Haven't seen her for about 18 months so really looking forward to that. Taking my sign language file so I can practice while I'm away (exam on 26th!)

Managed to sell my motorbike security chain and lock last night for £50. That will go in the savings pot to cover the work to the house for selling.

So back from my wee hollybobs in South Wales. Weather was good. Company was good, well most of it. I'm allergic to cats and feathers so I was not best pleased when on the way to the house my friend told me she'd got a second cat and then put me up in a feather bed.

Today and tomorrow I am in work trying to shift a huge amount of paperwork. Then I go home and try to sort out the garage and get the house on the market. Feeling strangely optimistic - hoping I'm not about to have the stuffing kicked out of me again.
