    The dress is NO MORE
well at least not in my life!!!
I took it back to Next today. The assistants wanted to give me a refund to the sales value because I didn't a receipt (it's probably in the North). I went upstairs to 'chat' to someone senior and that's what you have to do now in Next if you want a refund or credit note from Next and you don't have a receipt.
    I now have a £65 credit note.

man that is a tidal wave you have had to deal with, sorry about the internet rubbish, not your fault but it must be so annoying,

this weather wouldve deff killed off the battery, but thats not too bad a price for a new one , i'm having second thoughts about this landlord now though ... hope he was just having an off day, any good looking single blokes on the male quiz team?

grr to the dress, could they not get you a new one from a different store? maybe at the reduced price and you could then spend the rest on something else?

Excellent news about the credit note. Do they still have the dress in stock, or are you going to look for something else?

I shredded my favourite dress last Christmas (on a nail sticking out of a wall), then found the exact same dress on Ebay, in perfect condition, in my size, and re-bought it for about half the original price. I love it so much, but haven't had the opportunity to wear it since. :rotfl:

    Hi Snaggles,

I will look for something else but now you've said that, also keep my eye open on Ebay.

Don't wear posh clothes to work...that appears to be the lesson!

Yeah but if you don't wear posh clothes to work, when will you wear them? I accidently bought a lovely dress in the Warehouse sale (I'm sure it was because I was too busy being smug that I only bought the moisturiser and eye make-up remover I went into Boots for and paid using my loyalty card!). I wore it for 15 minutes before going to bed last night, just because! :o

I'm not sure when I'll wear if not so I think it needs to become part of my bedtime routine! :D Gok would probably send me on a date in it, but I'd probably fall off my heels! :rotfl:

Take care Butti. Enjoy spending the Next voucher! I'm sure an even better dress will fall of the rack and into your hands! :)

I think you'll find a black wool tunic with red spots already has:D
£6.50 in the charity shop. Will look for pair of black boots in M&S for £65 instead of £70 and use part of the £20 my dad's lady friend gave me for Christmas for the tunic.

I have discovered today that I get too stressed over other peoples problems. Plusnet have taken the phrases 'Yes I want the broadband reconnecting' and 'I want to complain' to mean 'No don't bother reconnecting me because I'm going to complain'.

In other news the lodger is not handing in her PhD next week as she's now decided she's staying in the country till summer. Just shoot me now...seriously...even Miranda doesn't have this much farce in it!

Top tip of the week: When starting a new job feel under the desk and take your own masking tape!
