Mr NL is asleep at his house (just as well as I have failed to make tea, nor finish tidying the house, or un-earth his presents)

You've buried his presents. What were they?

    - a spitfire
    - next doors cat after a trip to the taxidermist*
    - treasure

    * apologies to cat lovers

No need to pine - the grass is often not greener than you think!

The presents are still buried in my spare room ...

    1. A blood pressure monitor
    2. A useful tin to keep things in
    3. Some choccies
    4. Some anti puppy wee smell stuff (I have a puppy and she gets excited at his house ...)

    Happy Christmas y'all

[Mr NL does not live at my house (probably a good thing). Today he is off for the day to his daughters to have fun with his grandson, ex-wife, grown up kids ... probably another good thing that I am going elsewhere :) ]

On a positive note at least you have a Mr NL. I feel like I am pining for the ffjords

Could be worse. I could be there, and then you'd really appreciate solitude... :p

And you too - have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, and I hope Santa brought a full sack. :xmassmile

p.s. Am wondering how Santa is going to get my Porsche down the chimney when I don't have one :rotfl:

He'll just drop it from 4,000 feet and it'll make its own chimney...

    Hi y'all :T

Didn't get a Porsche, which is good because it means the house is intact not demolished by a Porsche shaped hole from 4,000 feet (would probably also take out the houses on either side!)

My Family  (as in the SitCom starrring me rather than the rather more sedate one starring Robert Lindsay) - Ho Hum. Sometimes it is really hard determining whether I am starring in a comedy, tragedy or a FARCE.

    The good news
Well this year my father didn't reduce my neice to tears OR reverse his car into my brother's inlaws car. Both positives. :T

    The not so good news
My eldest brother rang from America as he usually does on Christmas day. My middle brother spoke to him and handed the phone to my Dad. My Dad spoke to him and handed the phone back to my middle brother. My middle brother took the phone back into the kitchen and ended the call.

Obviously I was in my super invisible cloak (borrowed from Harry Potter) going :j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j (Not so much a jumping for joy, more a desire to have my existance acknowledged).

    The interesting news
Do you remember the Vicar of Dibley episode with the ten Christmas Dinners. This year we found out that my dad goes to his twin brother's first for Christmas Dinner and then goes to my brothers!!! Wot a cheek. Now wonder he was asleep mid-afternoon.

Hope you all had a good day.

p.s. My brother did have the good grace to say 'Sorry...that was very rude of me' and ring my eldest brother back!

Only if Santa didn't drop it straight. So how was Santa? Was he generous?

They are all aspects of the same thing as in: "What starts as tragedy, ends in farce." or even "Life is a tragedy for those who feel, and a comedy for those who think".

Santa was nice. Gave me a £50 gift voucher for M&S. Handy in that it didn't have to come through the roof, it could come through the letterbox!

Pair of black boots - I have plenty of clothes!
Been round sales...bought £3 Quantum of Solace. Have avoided buying any clothes by telling myself there will be nice bargains in the shops in December 2013 AND that I have no money AND that any money I theoretically may have may be gone after I pay for my car service! SIGH!

And I hope that was your quantum of solace...

I just can't take this James Bond seriously ever since he was described as "an elf in a suit"...

And the more you save now, the less you'll have to save later.

I haven't been round the shops yet. I prefer to go when it's quiet. I just wonder which level of hell IKEA is right now...
