The colour one is just the black and white one coloured in.

    By computer.

    With crayon...

    By a five year old.

Really you ARE better with the original...sometimes life is better in black and white. Jimmy Stewart in particular i seem to remember was a bit pink.

........and so we return to the northern wastelands. This bit folks is actually a bit of a myth, the north is actually quite nice but very windy today. Fortunately there's nobody out around here with a flat cap or a whippet so no worries about being hit by an errant hat or lightweight dog when you're out delivering your Chrimbo cards.

Yes, just been giving advice to a friend on stress and it being, in part, about not being in control. As ever, I have come back to my house and the lodger has heeded all previous conversations and is living in harmony with the house. IS SHE HECK!

Remember those non-functioning smoke alarms? Guess what? Yes, I know, you're ahead of me here. 'It was bleeping' she says, about the non-fire service installed one, the one with a battery. 'I changed the battery' she says. Well guess what, I have changed the battery for the one in the kitchen drawer and since I did that IT HASN'T BLEEPED. How utterly amazing.

Had a bath this morning but had to rinse the bath first as she had left a layer of Jif in the bath. I wised up to this last time I was up and I got even cleaner than I expected to be (with a nice tang of lemon:rotfl:).

Wonder what joys are awaiting me tomorrow in my OUT OF CONTROL house.

ahhhh this would be the feelings of being out of control rather than not meeting others expectations :)

is this lidger more hassel than they are worth?

...or she's not meeting my expectations to f**k off and die. Yes definately more hassle but a financial lifeline. So long as she doesn't build a cannabis farm in the house I will look back on this period with rose tinted glasses I'm sure. Quite how she didn't end up under next doors new retaining wall in the summer I have no idea!

And it's a weekend, so no wheelie bins marching up the road, shoulder to shoulder...
