Get it done before the next storm. Once the wind finds a weak spot, it'll peel things apart...

One of my colleagues knows someone who does little roofing jobs. That is one of the advantages of my job.

Sleepless in the East Midlands (not with Tom Hanks!) was on in my bedroom on Monday night. Woken up by a low flying plane and then kept awake by my contractor having fitted the wrong kitchen in the wrong house. He's going to solve it by switching the cupboard doors with the house next door. This may solve his immediate problem creating a kitchen that resembles a toothpaste advert. Next door becomes a house with a kitchen with shiny walnut cupboards and a dark brown worktop. Think Maze Prison protest but with extra shine!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: I want to be there when he uncovers it so I can have a really really good laugh for 10 minutes.......or longer.

Then both me and the owner will go "No" and he'll have to replace the worktops. It will then look really nice.

What would you be laughing at? I hear diarrhoea is really popular this time of year...

All you need now is a kitchen in a sickly green and you'll have a matching set...

    So..........men with plaited beards.
    Quirky or just downright weird?

So I was thinking tonight "What is that quote? "
That quote is from Shirley Valentine , and it is "Men......they're so full of sh*t"

Alternatively I could learn to take compliments!

If every time someone pays you a compliment, your reaction is "you're so full of shit", then don't be surprised at the looming compliment famine.

There's "looking a gift horse in the mouth" and then there's strapping on the rubber gauntlets...
