They have told me it's a cheek to ask, I can say no and just boot them out and its their problem. But they seem nice people and have made this process very easy.

Second hand white goods are always welcome in my house. I had a second hand washing machine and freezer and third hand fridge that all lasted for at least the 12 years I was in the house.

...And I definately need a decent wardrobe.....and theirs was nice.

Well that definitely should have a lot of bearing.

When people have said "You need a new wardrobe" they may not have been referring to that... ;)

So....last night went out with a load of women (Social group for Ladies wot lunch and also do dinner) for a wine and tapas evening. Was a nice evening, £10 for 4 dishes so quite reasonable and quite helpful.

    We discussed my potential house.....

One of the women attending is a conveyancer and advised me to get a statement put in the contract to the effect of 'The conveyancing will be completed and the house vacated by.......'

Have also been to see the bank this morning and had the offer extended at no cost  to cover 9th January.

    So.....my offer to the vendor will be;

Conveyancing and vacation of property by 9th January
All white goods in the kitchen to be left, apart from the kettle and microwave
Wardrobe in master bedroom to be left

They will be out by 9th January. There will be no further extension.

My plan in the meantime was to buy a car to cheer myself up  (not expensive at all!) but I think the bank are looking to me to not take on any extra borrowing in the meantime.....so maybe just a little dress for £59 that I've seen today :D

    That is pretty good.

Whoa there! Why do you need cheering up? Stuff is going [STRIKE]swimmingly[/STRIKE] really-shit-in-an-alternative-and-not-jinxed-way - your house is going through (slowly, but faster than the other lot), and you have a promotion.

Is there something else wrong? :grouphug:

Step away from the dress - unless there's someone you're not telling us about? ;)

Just feeling a bit tired and a bit flat.
Had mega pressure in job at the start of the week from the micro-manager. Felt like sitting under desk and crying. I think I need a bit of exercise and some sleep.

Its the current boss's boss. He tends to check she's not in before he comes into the office. She's from the Mastermind-random-speed-questioning-style-of-management. Its a fairly stress inducing approach.

I have chronic toothache today. Supposed to be meeting one of my beau's at a beer festival but am taking strong painkillers. The pharmacist said I could maybe have half a pint!!!

    You know stuff. Why worry?
