    Whilst she was talking to me on the doorstep I gather the vicar was parking his car behind me!!!

    Isn't that a euphemism for something?

    Quite a productive day today, all in the middle of preparing for Gov't inspection.

    So at lunchtime I spent about an hour preparing a missive for the bank detailing;
    • the current situation
    • the further reduction of just over £3k in my debt since I went to see them for my mortgage in May
    • the moving of the HBOS CC and importantly the HSBC O/D to MBNA on 0%
    • the awaiting of two payments from the tax man, one certain one of over £300
    • the advantages of the new house over the other one
    • how the first owners are waiting to retire before they find another house!
    • and how I'm saving the second owners from a chain and from Estate Agents fees

    Hopefully that should all help!

    Starting preparing a form at work for me to go on a Uni course. Yes I'm going back to Uni.....yes.....I have actually left :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
    Course on Tuesday mornings from October to January. All about modern construction so hopefully it should improve my ability to participate in site meetings!

    Finally have come to the library....put an offer in on the house, probably £2k less than she wants but I think I'm saving her about £1.1-1.8k in Estate Agents fees and a whole heap of people traipsing through her house. I think she'll want more but hopefully only £1k more.

    Also have just ordered a hardback copy of the Frugal Cook as I gave my paperback copy to my friends son as a gift at the weekend. Has cost me a fiver but I use the book at least once a week.

    Library about to close! Tchuss!

    Thanks Beanie. Message from the 2nd owner saying she wanted £2k more but she'll accept £1k. :D

    Well I know where to come when I want some negotiating doing... ;)

    And she *is* going to move before *you* retire - right?

    I'd probably be very good negotiating for you....I'm not very good at negotiating for me! Did okay this time as I think me and her both had the same figure in mind :D.....and we'd both done research which is what they tell you to do :D

    So busy day today. I would say like a headless chicken but not that bad, not as bad as the three muppets heading north of the border.

    Just makes me think;

    Why didn't you offer them Devo-Max? (But hey...why offer something 42% of the population say they want!!! :doh:)

    Sent a message back to owner 2 before work, accepting new offer and telling her I would make an appointment at the bank and keep her informed.

    Spent my lunchtime checking Experion, ringing MBNA, visiting Halifax and HSBC......and most importantly

    Paying £40 parking fine so that it doesn't become £70 parking fine by cheque and with a proof of posting

    Will fall into next pay packet :T

    Another NSD today :T:T:T:T:T and still about £50 in my bank account in Credit :j:j:j:j:j left until Monday's pay day.

    Curry tomorrow night which will be about £6 and over to see the cousin on Friday afternoon. May go shopping in the charity shops carefully (she lives in a posh town) but other than that a no-spendy cooking type weekend :D

    Better go and report my NSD.

    If the three Muptateers are there, where's Dorktanian?

    Well, I think the next people to get the vote on whether to secede from the Union of Great Britain and Northern Ireland should be the English...

    Shouldn't get them and they wouldn't fall into any pay packet...

    Don't spend it all at once.

    Charity shops in posh towns are usually cheap and full of good stuff. Charity shops in pretentious towns are expensive. National chains are worse than local hospices for that.

    In said posh town
    Think I have 'done' the charity shops - 2 tops and a skirt for £8. That will do.
