Butti's Journey: A matter of loaf and death

I prepared my appeal letter in one of mine AND I passed! Maybe we should all just try existing in the moment!
How did it go then Skinty?
Not as bad as I thought it would but not good, I think I might scrape a pass but it's only a chance. But if I fail it's my own fault and I'll resit in Aug. Not life or death and not the end of the world. Chilled:beer:Mortgage OP 2025 £6750/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Estate Agents.....a pain in the ar*e usually. Today ringing my phone just as I have left it in one of the airport security plastic boxes used for the xray machine. Enabling the security guy to ask who they were ringing and to tannoy me. Phew!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

So for those of you who are interested NOT SKINTY the phone call was from the bank not from the Estate Agent. Still bl**dy lucky if you ask me - really hate going through security in airports. Always seems like an ideal opportunity to have things nicked or to forget them or to not see them.
Anyway, having not lost my mobile I now have to look for my blackberry for work tomorrow!
So, for Beanie, here are the new totals. Someone will have to wait for the goss ......:rotfl:
Incidently...the adding up last month was wrong for HBOS. Hopefully we'll do better this month.
CDL £10,000 [STRIKE] £7779[/STRIKE] £7566 paid off 25%
Dad £7000 £0 100% paid off
Friend £280 £0 100% paid off
Virgin CC £3350 [STRIKE] £2460 [/STRIKE] £2006 40% paid off
HSBC CC £4404 £0 100% paid off 18% APR!!!
M&S CC £1188 [STRIKE] £1096[/STRIKE] £1077 8% paid off
HBOS CC £1430 [STRIKE] £1385[/STRIKE] £1378 3% paid off
SOooooooooooooooo.......
In total (excluding the overdraft, that has stayed the same and will continue to stay the same until we have dispatched Mr Branson's card) ....................
The overall debt is down from £27,619 on 22nd November to £12,720 last month£12,027 this month. That is a reduction of 57%
For the credit cards it is also down from £10,339 to £4461, a drop of 57% also.
On Saturday afternoon I go for a chat with my bank with a look at my credit issues but no credit check to get an idea of how much they would lend me for something larger than a cardboard box.
So...gossip.....:rotfl:
Very little really. Got chatted up I think (non too sure as the guy did mention his wife a couple of times ) by a Scot living in West Yorkshire.
Wondered what I saw in my ex until I was sat with him last night chatting (once I'd got away from Mr Scot/W.Yorkshire) where I was pretty much reminded of what a great guy he is within about 10 minutes. He's moved away too and we both seem to be very happy in our jobs so that's good.
Nothing else happened apart from trying to lose my mobile phone in the airport.
Incidently Mr Zed the guy with the wife and the guy with the partner are two different people. I stayed with the guy with a partner and a spare bedroom in its own wing with it's own ensuite
(How good is that!) and it's own shower in the bath with no shower screen?!!!! (How does that work - can't have a standy up shower without risking flooding the whole bathroom :eek:)
Right...had better go shopping. Bearing in mind any lender will be analysing my shopping habits better get some frozen chicken and frozen peas and get A Girl Called Jack out for some more recipes. Was going out on Thursday but I think we shall need to be careful for the rest of the month.
Having said that, last nights party was sponsored by a brewery so I had 3.5 pints (I think.....it could have been 4!) for the grand total of £ zero. If I'd thought about it a bit more I could have made it an NSD!

Perhaps you should make a checklist of everything you're likely to surrender to being X rayed and check them out, and check them back in...Anyway, having not lost my mobile I now have to look for my blackberry for work tomorrow!
Scrap the list idea! Tie them to yourself. Long piece of elastic will let them go through the machine without you having to follow... :rotfl:The overall debt is down from £27,619 on 22nd November to £12,720 last month£12,027 this month. That is a reduction of 57%

Have you tried someone other than your bank?So...gossip.....:rotfl:
Very little really. Got chatted up I think (non too sure as the guy did mention his wife a couple of times ) by a Scot living in West Yorkshire.
Do you actually talk to single men? :rotfl:Wondered what I saw in my ex until I was sat with him last night chatting (once I'd got away from Mr Scot/W.Yorkshire) where I was pretty much reminded of what a great guy he is within about 10 minutes.
So what makes him a great guy then?Incidently Mr Zed the guy with the wife and the guy with the partner are two different people.
Yes, I know. So that's three with wives/partners. What's the collective noun for troilism? :rotfl:I stayed with the guy with a partner and a spare bedroom in its own wing with it's own ensuite(How good is that!) and it's own shower in the bath with no shower screen?!!!! (How does that work
Not very well I would imagine...- can't have a standy up shower without risking flooding the whole bathroom :eek:)
Perhaps it's just for washing your hair in the bath? Or is the bath huge?Right...had better go shopping. Bearing in mind any lender will be analysing my shopping habits better get some frozen chicken and frozen peas and get A Girl Called Jack out for some more recipes.
Don't forget the stale bread and gruel...Having said that, last nights party was sponsored by a brewery so I had 3.5 pints (I think.....it could have been 4!)

This idea seems like a good one to me. Do I need a duffel coat for it to work properly?Have you tried someone other than your bank?
Just wanted to test it out as it was so abysmal last time - £50k mortgage. Helpful :rotfl::rotfl:
Will also go to a whole market broker, may even contact them tomorrow as I have someone in mind. Going to view on Saturday morning and then going to the bank after that. I note the press are very helpfully talking the market up. Have researched the house, the street, house price trends in the area since 2006, council tax rates, flood plains. I feel I am prepared.Do you actually talk to single men? :rotfl:
They are heavily outnumbered by married men! Even divorced men are not easy to find!So what makes him a great guy then?
He's kind and interested in you (well not you - women, y 'know) and funny.Yes, I know. So that's three with wives/partners. What's the collective noun for troilism? :rotfl:
So I am back at work and things have gone quiet in my area of work. Going to see two separate places on Tuesday to do presentations so that will require some prep tomorrow but I have already sent them something ahead so really it's just preparing for questions.Only 4 pints when sponsored by a brewery? You're losing your touch...
I know...I must practice. Should really get an NSD in today but instead I'm going to get a bottle of wine in
Okay chaps, the library have changed the hours system so it requires me to be more disciplined  so I shall have to go now. Will report back Saturday.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

Not in an airport - that's just for train stations...Just wanted to test it out as it was so abysmal last time - £50k mortgage. Helpful :rotfl::rotfl:
Perhaps there were a raft of really expensive cardboard boxes you may have needed help buying...Will also go to a whole market broker, may even contact them tomorrow as I have someone in mind. Going to view on Saturday morning and then going to the bank after that. I note the press are very helpfully talking the market up.
That's just in London - everywhere else seems flat/down. Even in London, it's not looking that rosy - guess who's having a sale...Have researched the house, the street, house price trends in the area since 2006, council tax rates, flood plains. I feel I am prepared.
It's really easy for all the places I'm looking. They're all down (though Council Tax only in real terms). Even the flood plains. It's rather hilly round here... :rotfl:They are heavily outnumbered by married men! Even divorced men are not easy to find!
Go talk to your IT people - plenty of single ones there... :rotfl:He's kind
Kind of what?and interested in you (well not you - women, y 'know)
Isn't that virtually the definition of hetrosexual man? (with an h)and funny.
You're not raising a very high bar here. I can do all that with my eyes shut.
(OK, that's with sunglasses on - but close...)I know...I must practice. Should really get an NSD in today but instead I'm going to get a bottle of wine in

This is pretty much how I feel today. Tis not really helped by the fact I have to keep this in until Tuesday.
So I have been to see the house.
Then I've been to see the bank (You were right Z - theoretically they will lend me up to £107k!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:) They have given me an in principle offer.
The house;
Has a small back garden which needs a tree removing.
Has a second 'double' bedroom which is really a three-quarters rather than a double.
So that's the negatives, what's the positives.
The mortgage is £90 more than the current total bill for my rent and storage.
The house is in a nice area, a really nice area....with several pubs in walking distance.
The master bedroom is huge.
It has a garage and a parking space.
It is central to my social life haunts.
It doesn't require any decorating immediatly.
I have posted it on facebook for those who like a look (that angle of photo does make it look more overgrown!)
Why am I waiting!!!:
So will have a wee walk tomorrow and check out the flood plain. Do estate agents work Bank Holiday Monday's?Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

If it's the Halifax, that means you're on minimum wage, working one day a week...They have given me an in principle offer.
The house;
Has a small back garden which needs a tree removing.
How big is the tree? A small tree is easy. A big tree will leave a nice hole for a pond...Has a second 'double' bedroom which is really a three-quarters rather than a double.
