Have you checked your mobile coverage?
I haven't this weekend so will check it Tuesday morning (can't do that on my phone!) Have been checking them all as standard! You could check it for me Mr Z and report back.:D
Have cycled near to the house today and freewheeled down the hill to the floodplain and then dropped the gears and cycled back up...so provided there is no sort of biblical event with giraffes and zebra`s floating past I should be okay.
Worryingly they are building houses at the bottom of the hill.
The bus stop for the thee major cities in the area is about 5 minutes walk away.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

I would have, but I don't know which provider you use. Here's the landing page http://ask.ofcom.org.uk/help/telephone/mobilecoverage

I had a bit "wander" around, cross-referencing the Environment Agency map with Google Street View. A *lot* of people are in for a lot of heartache not far from there. The bus stop for the thee major cities in the area is about 5 minutes walk away.

Yes I think it's broadband rather than mobile coverage I usually check. May have a trip out tomorrow evening to check the area and the signal.
In other good news the bank have sent me a 0% balance transfer offer which is good news because Mr Branson is about to increase the other one from 0% to 32%!Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.

32%
Well wrong on two counts.
I've rang up MBNA and had a nice chat with a nice man. I found out that I've paid more than I thought I had so the balance is £1514 rather than £2004.
The nice man from MBNA was asking me whether I had balances on other cards (yes you can see where this is going too!) They are offering 0% on balance transfers. See how nice they are?!!!!!:rotfl:
So I said "But if I transferred money to your card there is still an existing balance at 32% APR". This is where he corrected me (Hope you're sitting down Beanie!). The APR is their standard 34.9%.
But I'm not going to do anything sudden this week. This week I'm going to concentrate on getting my mortgage through. Next week I'm going to transfer £1514 from MBNA (was Virgin) to the HSBC card. After the next pay day I shall pay £500 off the new HSBC balance.Debt LBM (08/09) £11,641. DEBT FREE APRIL 2021.
