So part 1 should have been sent by the job centre to HMRC. It's a wonder they don't have anything then. Are you sure HMRC understood that you signed off in May 2011 and not May 2012?total pay: £161.00
Even better. You are due all of your £733.80 tax back.Do I send one of these forms to someone and it'll get fixed quicker, maybe?
If they genuinely don't have details from the job centre, which I'd be inclined to check again with HMRC, then yes write a letter stating that you believe you are due a rebate from 2011/12. You will need to include the P45s and the P60 (originals but take copies for our own records) and a note of any other income such as savings interest. If you have savings interest it will have been taxed automatically by the bank at 20% and you should only have paid 10% so you'll get some tax back from that too.0 -

The OP has part 1a not part 1. I would guess that the Jobcentre do this online now like most employers so proberbly they forgot to do it or tax office forgot to note it.
I would also suggest a check of the previous year as it looks possible you may have ended that year on emergency tax and/or unemployment benefit.0 -

Yes that's why I said that the job centre should have sent Part 1 to HMRC and did not understand why HMRC still didin't know about it 14 months on.I would guess that the Jobcentre do this online now like most employers so proberbly they forgot to do it or tax office forgot to note it.
Clearly something has gone wrong.I would also suggest a check of the previous year as it looks possible you may have ended that year on emergency tax and/or unemployment benefit.
So look back at 2010/11 as well?0 -
I'm about to send them a letter.
I was gonna give them the p60 from my current job and the p45's
I have the p45 from the jobcentre (part 3 and part 2)
but I only have part 1A of my p45 from the agency. I must have given the other parts of that P45 to my current employer.
Is that sufficient to send??0 -
