I'm looking at some flights and the aircraft configuration is 3-3-3. We're flying as a couple and I can't work out which seats would be best to book.
If I book a window and a middle, we'll be penned in by the person on the aisle. If I book a middle and an aisle, we'll have to jump up every time the window seat person gets up. An aisle and an aisle?
I'm a bit perplexed. It's a very long flight (35 hours all together) and the seats are expensive. I don't want to get it wrong.

what about an aisle and a middle in the centre section, then you don't need to move for anyone
seatguru should show you which seats to avoid but doesn't really cater for 'best seats for couples'0

            Front row?
Otherwise the pros and cons are as you mention, it's up to you which is worse...but it's hardly an issue to stress about.0

It's not stress exactly but this is a once in a lifetime trip back to the place of my husband's birth so isn't just any old holiday (not demeaning anyone's holiday). We'll never be able to afford to do it again unless we win the lottery.
I'll look at the front row. Thanks "If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 "If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0

You'll normally have to pay extra for these seats, or have status with the airline. You should also be aware that the arm rest in these seats cannot usually be raised, and can be slightly narrower than other rows. Which airline is it?0

You've got a really good amount of legroom in those seats, I wouldn't bother about getting an exit row - the decreased seat width and immoveable arms are not the best on such a long flight. I would go for a pair in the middle section, and hope that the third seat stays free!0

It's about an extra £400 each. We won't fly via the US."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0
