ahhhh  My kids don't drink tea or coffee - at home anyway. DS was introduced to drinking them by school on his first residential stay. So I'd not thought of it.

Yeah, cola drinks are full of the stuff.

I'm a full blown caffeine addict thanks to night shifts and if I can't get a decent coffee a 500ml bottle of diet coke is a reasonable alternative. Skip both and its a major headache by lunchtime.

I used to be like that, but I went through the withdrawal and have been caffeine free for about 5 years now. I can easily be awake for 18 hours now (toddler + running a new business) and rarely feel tired at all.
Science adjusts its views based on what's observed.
Faith is the denial of observation, so that belief can be preserved.

I've done the withdrawal thing a few times, but I'm not bothering again, I actually really like coffee and its a good migraine halter!

I don't know your circumstances, but have you considered organised house-sitting?

    Or a campervan?
I am trying to find a home really - with an address and letter box, so I can sign up with agencies for work and receive timesheets and payslips... as well as other personal/banking/financial records and paperwork on an ongoing basis. I don't want to keep finding a series of short-term make-dos.

    No I don't.

If I had kids I wouldn't be living in a hotel.... I'd be banging on their door for their sofa.

I'm with you OP. There is absolutely nothing worse than trying to eat a civilised meal in peace and some noisy little brats pee on your parade.

I can just about tolerate my own whingy whiny bunch at breakfast at home, I definitely do not want to listen to someone else's, especially if I was staying in a hotel without my children for a bit of peace.

Other people's children are annoying, sorry but it's true! I have 3 of my own who I love dearly. I am not so fond of other people's offspring.

    Mary Poppins I am not.

Oh I used to love watching her!

And 'Paint along with Nancy' was cool too, with her knife and big roll.

I'll shut up now as that's way off topic :D
