That sounds like a good idea Bigpaws - don't think they have anything like that around here - I'll have to look into it

Glad you're all doing well and it's nice to hear from you again Beemuzed - I hope it's nothing serious with the blood tests, etc.

Speak later when I get back from the charity shops - to take stuff not spend money!!!!:j

Hi All! Hope you're all fit and not spending money! I've been quite good the last couple od days - only £1 spent on two carpark tickets. Normally I'd not mind as when at school time is of the essence. However, these were on two visits to the surgery for blood tests, and being the hols I could/should have walked. Slapped wrists for me then!
Any news on the job today Tigzem? I do hope you get good news soon.

No news yet..... which I'm hoping is a good sign. Have tried to call him this morning to ask if a decision has been made yet, he's out the office visiting clients so I'll try again later. Thanks for asking x

    Well done Nicola :T

Know what you mean!! It's becoming a bit of a habit this not spending malarchy!:rotfl:

I checked my bank balance today and it was actually a pleasant thing to see I'd got money in my account half way through the month instead of panicking that I wasn't going to manage till payday like I normally do :D

I'm hoping that once this month's over I'll be able to keep it up and really think about what I'm spending/not spending in the future.

Hope everyone's day is still going well.

  • Is it too late for me to join this?

It sounds like a great idea and i would really like to give it a go for april... the only thing i really must pay for this month is flights for my holiday... can i include that in my budget and then not spend anything else?

Its all the silly things i need to stop wasting money on so i can off some more debt!
    my debt...

that is waaaay cool! what a great feeling.
Actually, I'm panicking about when the 31 days is up and I'd like to continue with this, or a different thread as well. There is something about airing your sins in public that helps you stick to the no-spending, iykwim :D
Maybe we should start a new one on the 1st of each month or something??

Welcome aboard, cantstopshopping (not a very auspicious name :rotfl: ), of course it's not too late; just jump right in and start making some savings.

I've had a NSD today, as well. :T

    Have a lovely evening everyone
