I have followed this thread on and off for some time and love all the great ideas and menus in it.
I look out for Butterfly Brain's posts re the Aldi Super 6 and what to do with them. :T
I was looking for a piece of advice. I noticed that Aldi have a chubb of black pudding for £1.99. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for main meals made with this as although it looks a good deal I didnt want to buy just to have with breakfasts/on a roll etc.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
You could make a hash with chopped black pudding, onions and diced potatoes and serve with a fried egg
or
Black pudding with pasta and either a tomato sauce or chilli sauce
or Black pudding with savoury vegetable riceBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Thanks to all of you for the great ideas for using black pudding. I will definitely get some as it should go a really long way using all of your recipies :j
I'm not sure what one to try first, its going to be really hard not to eat black pudding all week now. I think ill make up the stuffed chicken breasts and freeze ahead and portion up the rest so I can defrost it as I need it.0 -

Just checked on prices and batter mix has gone from 7p to 20p that means that the price has nearly trebled since last year  It is only 1 oz (25g) plain flour, skimmed milk powder and salt what the hell?Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Still cheaper to buy this and make up with water than it would be to make from scratch with milk though
