Hope this can be of help to anyone0 -
Do you get hungry just having fruit for breakfast (on the days that you do)?
How do you manage if you're really hungry? I get shakey, and I think it's due to poor diet because I'm not actually hungry... It's odd. I'd worry that I'd get shakey if I just had fruit for breakfast, but would like to try it.0 -
To be fair I dont normally have breakfast. I normally have a evening meal and a snack later on . For Snacks I always have lots bread in I get the good loaves for 20p On discount so have always got in the freezer. Yoghurts 4 for 35p and a box of cereal. I had a think last night I have never planned my meals in advance ( I will now in future )
I think honestly you could have a good meal plan with £8 - £10 a week thats buying essentials that will roll over.
Cheers0 -
Sorry Missed your question. Id say a banana is great at filling you up keeps me full up for at least 4 hours.0

One meal I have quite often is 2 Bixies (Lidl Weetabix), 1/7th of a pint of whole milk (enough to make it wet, but not make it soggy/slush) and a teaspoon of sugar.
The Lidl variety are full sized, much better than the Tesco own brand ones I first tried.
Cost:
2 Bixies 10p
Milk: Lidl 4 pints for £1, so 1/7th of a pint is under 4p
Spoon of sugar under 1p
Total cost 15p0 -
i would opt for eggs on a tight budget, they can be turned into a filling meal and 15 eggs are only £1 in farmfoods.
i went shopping this morning and aldi has reduced their 2l milk to 95p and butter has gone down to 95pBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

you seem to have missed the point of the the original post, she only had £7 to last for a whole week for her family with no back up stocks, so all the meals had to be bought for £7 for the whole week, there was no dipping into a packet and having 2p's worth or whatever they had to buy everything from scratch, that is why it was and is a very difficult exerciseBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
