I would give CS a call and explain to them what happened. I've phoned them before and they were really good and helpful.

Oh in fact wait a minute

Did someone not say last night if they were over £10 they had to be input manually, something to do with the barcode and not being enough space for amounts more than £9.99

Will search and see if I can find it :)

Thanks for you reply. It`s really put me off now.

  • FK, not sure that showing the SA or CS an image of a promotional banner from another Ts branch is going to demonstrate that the offer is also available in your local store.

If this is a test market, having people going into their local store demanding that their APGs be accepted, may make Ts reconsider the whole idea (especially if it gives them a better idea of the financial implications of such a move).

If this is a national campaign then surely there has to be more than one store with the promotional banner and collateral on display?

If people want the image of the promotional banner then that is up to them. However, I don't think it will make any difference as to whether your local store will accept the APGs.

Hope this does not come across as negative, I just wanted to put some points out there for consideration.

To highlight the point I was actually aiming to make in my original post - I felt bad that someone was going out of their way to show what they had posted was true. I wanted to make sure they did not feel they had to defend themselves and that others thought they were not telling the truth.

Thats not what I was suggesting. I was talking about the CS people on the Tesco FB page who were asked earlier.

I don't think anyone questioned the OP's honesty, it just wasn't clear there was a banner at first, and when it became apparent then curiosty said we needed to see it. :)

    Nooo, see my quoted post!
You've done nothing wrong, obviously just got a dodgy SA who didn't know what they were doing. Don't let it put you off, you've done fab shopping! I got the diced beef today after your post last night as well ;):D And my first proper APG :j

I'd have been at CS on my way out. £13 is a lot of money on shopping (for us all here anyway!!)

And my retort to to the biggest one she had seen comment would have been along the lines of "its not my fault asda are more expensive"

Hope you get it sorted :)

Thanks for your kind words, I also have one for £22.66 I can`t see myself trying to use that either.

Well she said I can`t use the voucher, and that the till would not accept it when she tried to scan it.

Sorry thats all she said, I paid by cash, I really am not happy to back and try again. She also said it`s the biggest she had seen in her 5 years working with A`s. It was for £13.04

Relax. She just didn't know what to do with it as it required her input. Badly trained SA thats all.

Go to another one tomorow and all will be fine. :)
