I'm pretty sure at grief counselling that they will just tell me what they think I want to hear but they can't do what I want - and that's to speak to my mum.

Sorry to bring the thread down will move off this topic now.

floflo i am so sorry you are struggling with your grief when my dad died i was the same in the end someone sugested writing a long letter to him with all the feelings and emotions in i wrote several pages in fact once i started i could not stop how i let him down by not being there when he died how angry i was that he left us and lots more, i cried more than i had but it really helped it started the long road to dealing with the grief and remembering most of all my dad would want me to be happy
    maybe this would help you
  • Had to nip to T's after work this evening, to get fuel ;)
Nipped in to get a couple of things, on my way out, seen a scrunched up receipt, so grabbed it up and didn't bother to look at it 'til I got home. It's got 90 unclaimed points on it :j:j

But this is the :eek::eek: bit, the first 2 items on the receipt -

    Beef Sirloin £38.00
    Beef Sirloin £34.25

If you were going to spend that much surely you'd go to a butcher?!

Don't think there are 8 different items though, so don't think it'll compare which is a shame!

Just tried the beer at 9.30pm in Lisburn - was trying to get 4 along with Cravendale and other sensible things. A complete no go - the screen told the sa that it was only one coupon per tranaction. I left the shopping. This is a new message definitely - I have had beer from this sa before on Monday evening(7) not a problem. I think that anybody who gets an sa to override this one will be very lucky!!
i will go into mr s and ask is it ok to use 1 coupon per shandy as it states on the moc. let them commit 1st.
if not ill say as i wanted 10 ill buy them in asda where they are a £1.

Lol, I actually went to one once with my mum as a friend of hers talked us into going with him. And that definitely wasn't my sort of thing, I was ok until they said they had someone's aunt Mary with them and a woman said ' I know her she had a canary up the Leg of her drawers' I know I shouldn't but :)

:rotfl: I just spat my lager out laughing and O/H is asking what's so funny. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

can we have a link to the skipping club on the 1st page.
i am a member of it but would like it easily seen as i dont like secret societies and show it has nothing to hide.

Ive seen the skipping club mentioned, but I assumed it was linked to the 'tesco knife glitch' so didnt ask about it :o:rotfl:

    Ok, weird question alert!

Have any of you been to a medium?

I am still struggling with how my mum died earlier in the year and a work colleague suggested either grief counselling or a medium.

I can't face grief counselling and don't think it will help.

I've never had any faith in mediums or anything like that but now I'm in this position I am considering it. Or am I just in a vulnerable place and likely to be taken advantage of?

    Hope asking this doesn't offend.

    Hi Floflo
Hope that you do not mind my saying that you should do whatever you feel you need to do to help you. Like you I don't have any faith in mediums and it is really not for me but for some people they are a comfort. The best advice I can give is to do what you feel comfortable with.
Why do you say that counselling won't help? I have to confess that I felt the same at first but eventually had a couple of sessions as I just could not sleep or do anything normal. It did help me, just to talk to someone, someone that I did not feel was judging me, I only had a couple of sessions but she gave me some good coping strategies that I still use today when I am feeling low.
Why not give both a try and see what helps you most?
Most of all you need to give yourself a break, losing your mum is hard and you cant get over it as quickly as people would like to think.
Sending you hugs, if you need to talk PM me, sometimes it helps to talk.
    xx
When I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"

5 T's in one day up here? Were you anywhere near my local? W3srh1ll?? I was there this afternoon stocking up on Robinsons - did we miss each other?

Ahhh no, Sainsbury's, D4nestone, Ell0n, Ell0n, Sainsburys, D4nestone, Ell0n. Closest I got to W3sth1ll was taking mum to the hospital at Woodend. I see they are certainly cracking on with the new T's there too.:beer:
  • Forgot to say that I also got the 'put coupon aside' message when trying to use a price porkie on the SS tills tonight.
Do we know why this is happening? Is it just to try and stop people using them on SS tills?

I was working but did get a chance to have a wander round a couple of times. It was v hot and v busy with general public but not many farmers there as they were making the most of the good weather so we had a quiet time on the stand.
