    Evening everyone :)

Saw something very odd this evening in Ts so had to report!! CS was bundling all the mens hankys in a big basket and taking them off the shop floor. I heard them saying something about offering to staff

So... I'm thinking maybe some odd leftover 4p-ers??

They were small boxed, looked like pack of two handkerchief set

Couldn't get any more info than that :/ But maybe something to look out for :D

Sounds like an offer not to be sneezed at. :D

I'm pretty sure at grief counselling that they will just tell me what they think I want to hear but they can't do what I want - and that's to speak to my mum.

Sorry to bring the thread down will move off this topic now.

Lots of great advice already given - just wanted to reassure you that you are not bringing down the thread. I lost my Mum over 20 years ago and Dad 8 years ago and I still speak to them inside my head and always remember you always carry them in your heart.

I went to buy a couple of quiches tonight, the ones with the 50p coupons on. The entire sticker had been removed from the packaging !!:(
Deffo was not someone taking them off for the coupon as the bottom bit had been removed too.

There have always been mixed packs on the shelf some with the sticker and some without so I was assuming that the offer is a short lived one and the new stock or old stock doesn't have the sticker iykwim

Skipping club - I thought it was just a saying that peeps were saying when they couldt keep up and not a real thing so just goes to show even when you keep up you don't always know what is going on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    good night all

FloFlo I lost my dad 13 years ago to CJD, he was only 49 and it was right in the middle of the mad cow disease crisis. We we told by the docs not to tell anyone what he died of (One actually said "its like AIDS, no one understands it!!") I was so angry at dad for leaving and at the world for taking him away, I completely lost the plot. My gp referred me to C.R.U.S.E for counselling and one of their suggestions was to write a letter (or many) telling him how I felt. I was sceptical but sat down one night and ended up writing pages and pages, sobbing my heart out.....but it worked. I burned the letter the next day, it didnt fix things and I would still write him notes when I need him, but it helped enormously. What Im saying is don't rule counselling out completely, but you are still grieving and it will take time. Sending you hugs for now, pm if you want xx

    Hi, all

Finally caught up on this thread! Took me a few days, not helped by jet lag.
Had a good hols in Florida, ds searched out MOCs everywhere and between us we managed to only spend $700 out of $1300 I took with me so on the last day we went and bought the new iPad!! Still Getting used to it but very pleased with it so far.

Happy you can't go wrong with big t shirt company, my late dh got his stuff from there. His Faves were the Kam brand especially their jeans, they wear well and lasted for ages, infact I still wear some of his that are at least 3-4 years old!!![/QUOTE

Hi Spiralingdown any info you can pass on to me re MOCs in Florida would ne great we go in Novemberthere are 8 of us so any savings we can make on meals etc. would be a big help thanks.

Just noticed you're in Belfast. Do you mind me asking how you got to Florida? I didn't think there were any direct flights left but I could be wrong. Thinking about going next year but not if it means transfers going via NY/London/Dublin. Thanks.

We went from Dublin via Gatwick! I'd booked it last year then a week later they announced restarting the direct from the International, typical as I'd waited as long as I could before it was a case of now or never :)
Thy do direct from Dublin and the International but the International ones are chartered ones, I know we priced them when they did become available and it was £1200 per person!! I paid £850 for mine and £750 for DS and that included the villa for 2 weeks, to do the same trip direct from Dublin was costing £300 more each and all I could think of was 'that's half my spending money gone if I went that way'.
It wasn't too bad because the cases went straight through so no worrying about that and BA had a bus running between the 2 terminals
Sorry if I rambled a bit and hope this helps

BTW it was booked through netflights

    Hi everyone,

I expect that a lot of us have a £10 BM voucher left over and I've been looking at how to use it productively.

    My ideas so far are

McCain rustic oven chips 50p in S after coupon compared to £1.50 in T's

    Wenches using £1off coupon

    Cravendale

    1 lager

    1 shandy

Anyone else got any more ideas
    Thanks:)

Yes but its a bit of a boring idea sorry! I bought shoes with mine, took them back as they were too tight, refunded onto a gift card and used that
for petrol. Gift cards keep for ages though, so handy for Christmas or
when you really need something :)
