Surely though, the iphone does everything any phone can do and more? plus there is no risk of malware, AND it holds it value, it must be worth more than the S3 already? Just read on CNET that the S3 has sold 10million pieces already :cool:0 -

The news link below is worth reading if you are intrested in this subject. This is also the average taken over around 63,000 users. I am sure some users will be more happy then others or this is not to say every user is going to have the problem.

Thanks for the link - but this is meaningless - since it is US based !!
Samsung US have already admitted to faults with the Galaxy and are supposedly fixing them
Samsung UK have not - YET !! - But soon will !!
My "Note" is being returned to Tmobile and thence to Samsung - I have requested a similar spec loan phone whilst my own is out of action...0 -

That may of course not be the same SGS3 but the US versions which run a different CPU GPU and RAM .

Exactly - and the "note" is a dual core 1.4Ghz processor with 1Gb RAM (including 200Mb video RAM) - with a 2.5Ah battery - there is potential for a huge amount of heat generation - there cannot be "cooling" as such....
I see no heat pipes and of course there is no fan
So where does the generated heat go ?
I find the specs astonishing (considerably better than my PC of 10 years ago !!!)
At least it came with a 2 year guarantee.0 -
It is possible phones will become warmer during heavy use. This is normal behavior especially if you are transmitting data, talking for an extended period of time, or playing games or music on the device. In these conditions, the phone is transmitting and utilizing a lot of power on the device which will generate heat.
Some apps may run at the back of your mobile, it may bring your phone become hot. You can download a task killer app, for example, Advanced Task Killer or Advanced Task Manager to kill all the apps, clear memories, and do not let any apps running at the back.
If you are using your phone when charging, it will become hot. If you run too many of them while the device is charging, you will increase its thermal load. If you drive its thermal load too high and too often, you will shorten the life of the battery and you can even damage the delicate internal components of your phone.
Also, you can try a factory reset:
- Press “Settings”
- Scroll down and tap “Privacy”
- Press “Factory Data Reset”
- Check the “Erase Internal Storage” option if you want to erase all the data on the phone’s internal storage such as applications, music, movies or photos
- Press “Reset Phone”
If you find that it is your phone problem, do you have any warranty on your mobile? You can bring your phone to the repair centre and fix it.0 -
