Spend of £9.19 today on some salad and cooked roast chicken to keep me going for lunches the next 3 days, along with 2 jars of Carte Noire coffee on offer.

Chicken Katsu curry with rice for dinner. First time I'm going to try it, but have everything in, including some Japanese curry roux cubes which have been in the cupboard for a loooong time (bought by my flatmate) and they are needing using up. Also have 2 eggs, carrotts, potatoes and panko breadcrumbs needing to be used as well.

Nearly half way through the month and about half way through the budget, so things are looking pretty ok. Another mini stock up at the weekend - a kilo of dried chickpeas and a huge tub of stock powder (both organic) which should last a few weeks. Need to order a box of loo roll this week though, as am down to my last 8 rolls!

Alas! I've not been able to keep up thanks to having no internet - and it won't be installed in my new flat for another month, grr! Anyway, reporting spends of about £140 so far, this includes a big shop to fill the freezer so I'm quite chuffed I've not totally blown the budget yet, to be honest. The freezer shop in Azda included some 10p ys white choc pancakes, some spiced bread affair and poppy rolls, which are all now tucked away amongst the icicles for some rainy day snacks.

I don't think there's much I need for the next couple of weeks, maybe some store cupboard bits (flour, herbs) and odds and ends to use up the random tins and things I've got kicking around. Now I've finally got some kitchen worktop space (have pretty much been without for over a year!) I really want to start baking again and get that feezer packed to the brim! x

A small spend of £3.83 on apricots and chickpeas today, which I am rather chuffed about. I got them from a shop I normally stock up at, and made myself just buy what is on my 'Allowable' list as the month is now so tight, denying myself the opportunity to buy my favourite fruit tea bags and other goodies.
    Better is good enough.

    Hello All,
I have to withdraw from this month's challenge. As a newbie I didn't realise it was going to take quite a bit to set up a new home (I didn't even have a broom!). I will re-enter this challenge next month, though, with a clearer idea of my monthly expenses.

Ok, here goes - Spent £26.29 & £7.99 in Mr T this week, plus also done shopping in H0me Brgns, L!dl, B&M and Ald! too. Phew. I visit a lot of supermarkets but now pretty much know what to buy in each for best value so I'm getting in routine which I like. Got family coming over at the weekend so there will be more spends there, so off to to update my signature so far and cross my fingers that it's not too bad :)
