Hello all, sorry for not posting on here for ages, we had a fab holiday, the weather was great, ds loved the pool and all was good

However, I returned to find out mum had been rushed into hospital for an emergency op, gangrenous appendix :eek: She's home now and is recovering well, but has been tough for her. Not only that but grandad had a stroke and is in hospital too. We went to see him at the weekend and it was awful, he can't talk anymore and cant swallow so is on a drip I'm going to go again today hopefully.

On the plus side Mr S has been round this weekend and we've had a lovely time, and have booked a weekend away together at the start of November

He's gone back to work today, my plan for the day is to write a huge huge huge long list of stuff I need to sort out before I go back to school next tuesday. One of the biggest jobs is sorting my finances once and for all, I haven't looked at them since before we went away so I have got in a right mess with it all

That should keep me busy for now and doesn't really include the general cleaning and tidying indoors either :cool: I will add to the list as more bits come to mind

So far I have done nothing other than try and make some kind of sense of my bank accounts. Currently I seem to be £265 overspent for the month but considering that includes overspends on holiday as well as my share of the hotel for our weekend away I am pretty pleased with that

I am going to thoroughly continue checking it all later and move money around so I can stay more on top of it next month.

This afternoon we're going to see dad and go to mums to clean out the guinea pigs. I may do the inside of the car while I'm there, no point doing the outside while it keeps raining :cool:

Not a huge amount achieved from the list so far, but I have done loads of washing and housework and the place is starting to come together again. After tea we're going to get ds school shoes, return the stuff to next and visit Grandad, so that will be three more bits crossed off the list. This afternoon I am continuing with the housework and may tackle the ironing, so gradually I feel like I'm starting to get somewhere.

Spends today = £2.99 on the model glue, £8.50 in Boots, and I will need to get petrol later too.

I could write a very similar list to that;) I need to go to Ikea for a chest of drawers too, I need work clothes (and shoes), need to clean the car out, eBay...:)
When are you back at school? Insets for me on Monday for me, 2 hours training Tuesday then back to normal with the children in on Wed. I'm quite happy to go back, I like the routine again, 6 weeks off is a long time, though I'll miss the lie ins:D

I'm back on tuesday, ds is wednesday. I could do with another 6 weeks off tbh, not looking forward to going back at all, no idea where the summer has gone to, has absolutely flown by

Ds is away this weekend and Mr S is on nights, so I have all day today to get on with the list. I am out tonight with a mate and then hopefully seeing Mr S tomorrow.
