Well life got in the way for a bit and then I reached a point where I realised I was spending too much time on here and a bit of a break was needed, and then that break became longer and longer. I have dipped in and out a few times, mainly on the mb board, but thought Id come back and find you all
So, life's still good, the money watching still happens although not so fiercely as it once did. Work is going well, I got a promotion which starts on monday and will bring me in about an extra £400 a month  my monster has settled at secondary school really well, mr S is still in tow and all is good there too
The best news is my beloved Bournemouth were promoted to the premier league :T:T:T it's been an amazing season and I got tickets for the final game at Charlton, priceless memories:D
So, what's been going on around here then??Mortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I can't believe your ds is at secondary - where does the time go?
Glad to hear things are still good with Mr S. Your mortgage balance is looking good!
Good to see you're back. I've been away for a couple of days, just gone on to my subscribed threads - yours is the first one I have read...
Don't be away for so long next time xx0 -
Hey Dangers
I actually have effectively got rid of my mortgage now, my Dad died a couple of years ago and left me some money. I haven't paid it off as I'd rather have thee money in the bank in case I need it at any point, but in effect it is covered
It seems strange to me that ds isn't at primary anymore, this time next year he will be choosing his options for GCSEs  (we do them at the end of yr 8). Considering what he was like at primary he has been an angel this year
So where is everyone else, I have 'spoken' to Hypno a couple of times (footie related, heer team got promoted too :T). I do think about lots of you and wonder how you're all doing.
In mse matters I have today opened a new ISA (£50 cashback on quidco) and tomorrow I have the joy that is sorting out the car insurance to look forward to
As the mortgage goal has basically gone now I needed a new one, so at the end of January I decided I'dd had enough of hurtling through my forties getting frumpier and fatter by the day, so decided that was my next challenge. I joined the gym, downloaded My Fitness Pal and got started. I have completed the C25K programme, applied for next years London marathon ballot and am 2lbs short of losing 2 stone :j :j Today I also started the 30 day squat challenge, day one was tough so not sure how successful thats going to be.
Its nice to be back xxMortgage Total: £51,549 / £75,000

I have wondered so very often how you are and also your son. What an absolutely brilliant update, pleased to hear Mr S is still on the scene too. When Bournemouth got promoted I knew you would be dancing! Health and happiness to you and yours.0

I saw on f/bk that you lost your dad. I was sorry to read it. How's your mum doing.
We choose our options at the end of yr 8 here as well. I've got one going through the exams at the moment and my other ds is hurtling towards the end of yr 9. It's quite scary isn't it, having to choose at 13 what subjects they want to do!
Well done on your promotion by the way. Are you able to tell us what you'll be doing?0
