Hugs Mrs R,
Hope you are being treated well and hope your treatment goes according to plan.
I have seen this evil disease from both sides in the last couple of years (my Mum had breast cancer 2 years ago) and all I can say is that remaining positive is an important part of ones recovery, So I would say, treat every cancer patient as treatable, until the prognosis says otherwise.
When things were at their bleakest for me, the thing I found hardest was that I felt I had to remain positive whilst all around me went to pieces. They couldnt help it, and I know it was because they love me, but at my lowest I resented it enormously, Later, when things were more positive, I had my own private little breakdown :0(
Im waffling a bit now, and I've had a little drink, but my point is that I needed positivity when things were bad, so a little "Get Well Soon" did me a lot of good! Thanks to all who post comps :A :T0 -
I've had cancer 4 times and each time a received a card, note, gift they have all meant something special to me (all kept safe in a memory box)
I should imagine your old friend will look at your card and 'know' you chose it with all you know about her in mind... and unless its known that an illness is terminal I would say go with the get well soon cards... its a wish from the heart...0 -
Gina, that's a beautiful sentiment. I truly hope your troubles are behind you.
I hadn't thought of a memory box..... I may make one now.
OP. Send the card, it will be sent with the best of intentions so I'm sure it will be appreciated. Thanks to all who post comps :A :T0
