A buyer trying it on

Well my buyer has opened an INR case today but Paypal have not held the payment since I added a tracking number when item was dispatched.
After reading through his feedback left for others, my buyer does seem like he could be 'trying it on'. There is a lot of negatives and neutrals for item not received and a lot of fragrances from different sellers he claims were not sealed so it looks like I am in for my first negative feedback. One for the block list I think.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Following on from my post above, I have noticed the payment is on hold in my Paypal account. I have contacted eBay but they will not escalate/close the case earlier than 31st July as it is still on the 'work it out' status. Has it ever been known for eBay to close the case earlier when asked as I seem to be getting no where when I contact CS.
Buyer has not responded since he opened the case either. I have provided tracking and a screen shot of the email and signature I received from CollectPlus confirming item was delivered to customers address which I linked to the eBay case.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Thanks for the update - it will be interesting to see how this pans out.
The 'work it out' stage does drag on when you've got a clear-cut case!
I'm sure Ebay will find in your favour given the proof of delivery.0 -
Just to update.
I received another message from my buyer today saying:
hello,i so sad:((( mi items its no coming!!
I've replied to her message and again provided her with the relevant tracking info. She has failed to comment on whether the signature is hers or not. I've asked her again whether somebody else within her household could have signed for it but she doesn't answer, in face she doesn't answer any of my questions. Perhaps she doesn't understand them I'm not too sure.
Should I telephone Parcel Force or continue waiting?

I have had a bad coupple of weeks with buyers too. One received a dress and 17 days later after she had been on holiday sent a SNAD message, she said there were marks on the dress and the hemline was not straight. I knew that wasn't true when it was sent out. I sent her the money for recorded return via paypal, and when it arrived back the refund was done immediately. I looked at the dress and it was still in perfect condition, not a mark or defect on it. My guess is she took it on holiday and then when she came back decided she wouldn't wear it again and sent it back for a refund. It was an occasion dress and she went on a cruise!! Nor, despite all my efforts has she bothered to leave feedback.0

You have online proof of delivery so I se eno point in spending time talking to Parcelforce at this stage. The ball really is in the court of the buyer now and I can only suggest you email once again and just give her the same info you have before.I have had a bad coupple of weeks with buyers too. I think this is one occasion I would prefer not to receive feedback, even though you did everything you could some buyers manage to convince themselves they are completely innoccent victims of a crook and will damage your stars.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OP, you have nothing to worry about since you have proof of delivery.
I escalated the eBay case to CS a few hours ago and have just received an email to say they have decided not to issue the buyer with a refund as my tracking info shows the item has been delivered to the customer as well as an email from Collect+ (with attached ePOD) confirming item was delivered to customers address.
I think eBay issue a lot of no fault refunds and my buyer was clearly 'trying it on' probably hoping for a free item. Thankfully they have decided not to refund the buyer. He has not responded to the case since he opened it either and has left a lot of negative feedback for items not received, I just don't understand why he left it over one month to say he had not received the item especially when I added tracking info to the listing which showed item was delivered.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0 -
Anyone know if eBay will remove my first ever negative feedback left by the buyer mentioned above? eBay found the case in my favour because the tracking proves the item was delivered to customer and signed for so they did not refund the buyer. He has just left negative feedback - as I expected after looking through his feedback left for others.A home without a dog is like a flower without petals.0

I agree, it never hurts to give them a call- and if you are female (I'm about to get sexist here so cover your eyes and ears) it never hurts to sound quite upset about it.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
