Fed up with sky price rises for the same old, same old and was going to cancel as I have a TV with freeview built in. However, like the option of recording stuff to watch later or as a series. Is there such a thing as a freeview plus box?

There are indeed. Many manufacturers make them and they are known as PVR (personal video recorder) Mine is a humax and the one most recommended. It does the things you mention such as series link and also pause and rewind and recored two programmes at the same time.Lost my soulmate so life is empty.
I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Where have you been living, anyhoo you could be a winner here and move ahead of the herd by buying a YouView Box. All the facilities of a personal video recorder with a unique backwards EPG that allows you to catch up with programmes from the last 7 days or so.

Unique? TiVo anyone?
And soon to be ubiquitous.
YouView is dead in the water, I fear. Too late ...There's love in this world for everyone. Every rascal and son of a gun.
It's for the many and not the few. Be sure it's out there looking for you.
In every town, in every state. In every house and every gate.
Wth every precious smile you make. And every act of kindness.

I don't understand either. Search Google, wait 0.14 seconds for a list of over seven million potential results, ranked according to probable relevance; search MSE, and wait till some human can be bothered to type a sentence or two, which may or may not help. It seems strange to me that one would choose the latter before trying the former...0
