O2 contract expired

  • "will O2 have me back"

Of course they will!! You are no credit risk and they want your money LOL

Whether you will be " first in the queue" for an iphone5 if you don't have an existing contract may be an issue, but is it really that important to you to have it the day it's out? I'm an apple fan (though actually trying andoid now so I can make a clear choice rather than sheeping...) But I've outgrown the rush to have it all first.

So, does anyone know if O2 will bill me for the next few weeks, even if I switch over to Giff Gaff today. (I gave them 30 days notice like a week or two ago, I'm hoping they'll be nice and not charge for the unused portion?)

To clarify, I don't mean literally first. For the iPhone 4, I waited about 4 weeks before getting one. Waiting a couple of weeks is just fine.

. Let someone else get the hardware issues/software glitches etc out of the way first!

    Absolutely!
  • I gave o2 30 days' notice about a week to ago. If i switch over to Giff Gaff now (like, right now) will o2 refund me the unused remainder of this month?

(Well, I say 'refund', I haven't actually paid it yet..)

You have to pay for 30 days. If your advance payment covered longer period you are entitled for a refund.

Right, so I might as well wait for that 30 days to end?

Up to you. You keep asking similar questions in different threads. As I have already replied in another thread,

I would expect O2 to charge you for 30 days since issuing the PAC regardless of porting the number out earlier. It's almost impossible to avoid overlap, but you can make it very small by correct timing.

According to your earlier post you used the changing your mind period to cancel - so no need for 30 days notice.

Make sure they are aware you are wanting to use their cooling off period, not their standard cancellation procedure!

Yes, sorry, I have multiple tabs open in FireFox. (And multiple windows)
  • Despite me cancelling, and moving to Giff Gaff, I've been hit with a bill of £192!!

I called up o2 to get it sorted. I was passed through 3 different people, before being hung up on!

    What's going on?

For the start, what does the bill say?

What is super weird is that this morning, I called up 202 (on my GiffGaff phone) and it put me through to o2. This was after a long search at saynoto0870.com for a 'normal' number to call.

Well, I just tried calling 202 again and it didn't work.
