Have an iPad/iPod/HTC Desire and Missus has a iPhone. Apple's simplicity is amazing but Android offers the customisation and options which I like. I'm happy with both0

I bought the iPhone in 2010 while I still worked for my previous employer. Prior to that I had a Blackberry and LG Cookie (with custom firmware). I also had a 2nd Gen iPod Touch which I used primarily as an MP3 player.
When I left that employer I gave my sister the Blackberry and continued to use the LG for a while. In the meantime I managed to damage the iPod (not sure how but it's as if the buttons are always stuck even though they're not). By this time I had started my own business and had been using a couple of Apps not yet available for Android for certain aspects of my business. It was coming up to the time for a phone upgrade anyway so I decided to go for the iPhone to combine all my needs in one device and to save on the cost of a new iPod.
I still use my iPhone but I have since bought myself an Android tablet for personal usage, leaving my iPhone for general phone use and my business Apps. If the Apps I used on my iPod were available on the Android at that time I would've possibly considered an Android phone.
I liked my Blackberry for a while but it seemed as RIM developed and added features they forgot to consider the drain on the battery.
I had a Windows phone for a while but it didn't meet all of my needs and I've never really taken a liking to Windows Mobile. I find the UI to be fairly clumsy in terms of user friendlyness.0 -

Android for me , Android leads while others [STRIKE]follow[/STRIKE] steal. While late Apple CEO Steve Jobs accused Samsung of "stealing" his company's ideas, vowing "thermonuclear war", Samsung has never admitted to doing such a thing. By contrast Mr. Jobs himself brazenly bragged of his company's lust for stealing others' work, "Picasso had a saying - 'Good artists copy, great artists steal.' And we have always been shameless about stealing great ideas."
Apple must also print a notice on its UK homepage stating that Samsung's tablets are unique and do not copy its iPad for six months.
Richard Hacon, Apple's lawyer bemoaned the ruling, saying it would amount to "an advertisement" for Samsung. He commented, "No company likes to refer to a rival on its website."
Apple's lawyers of late have been open in acknowledging how difficult it is for their company to keep up with its more lively South Korean rival, commenting, "Samsung is always one step ahead, launching another product and another product."
Sadly for those lawyers, their dream of trying to catch up by banning the competition have been rewarded with a public-relations nightmare.0 -
Android for me. I used to have an iphone 3gs, found it too restrictive in terms of customisation, then changed to a HTC Desire, and have used Android phones since. I have Galaxy S2 now and love it. Im just waiting for the S3 to come down in price a bit, and ill upgrade to that.Debt free and staying that way! :beer:0

Yet another pointless thread that will end up in a pi$$ing contest about android vs apple.
Do you have nothing better in life to do?0 -

Playing Devil's Advocate for the moment, a few of us did say he should have created a more balanced poll and it appears this is it. I still think he's building up for a response to fit his agenda though.0 -
I bought a Samsung E2121B because it cost me £10 and came with £10 PAYG credit.
And it works fine with my other SIMs, so I have 500 mins a month talktime (300 cross-net, 200 O2 & landlines only), unlimited texts and a brand new phone for about £4.00 a month.0
