What phone would you buy? Android, iPhone, Windows Phone, Blackberry

I agree that memo was a huge mistake. I can't help thinking that Nokia should have kept on with Symbian for at least another year and then moved onto Windows Phone when WP8 was ready.Tomi doesn't hate Nokia - just since Elop's burning platform memo
Nokia's share price was on it's way down long before Elop took over. I would lay Nokias problems squarely at the door of the previous management team.and his subsequent idiotic decisions resulting in the company losing 95% of its value and their shares becoming junk status.
It's a bit early to be making such judgements in my opinion, If WP8 hasn't taken off by this time next year and Nokia are still losing money, I would be more inclined to agree with you. Can't comment on RIM, don't know enough about their situation.I give Nokia about as much chance as RIM - both are effectively dead.
EDIT: Some interesting reading on RIM and what they need to do here - http://www.mobileindustryreview.com/2012/07/saving-rim-in-three-easy-steps.html0 -
I think Nokia and WP8 will be around next year. The MS will try to make sure WP8 phones are sold in good numbers.0

Haven't MS just made their first ever quarterly loss? :eek:0

No it's only due to around 6b write off, over all numbers are higher then last year.MillicentBystander wrote: »Haven't MS just made their first ever quarterly loss?
Good time to do the write off before windows 8 come out.0 -
I would go for android if you want to have flexibility like being able to battery pull when things go pear shaped. Apple if you just want a phone to work but ain't bothered about apple tellin you what you can and can not do. Finally I would pick a blackberry if it was for business and I had to 100% rely on getting emails and didn't mind the crap web browser. Forget windows or nokia unless you go for an old 6210 or 8310 they rocked and could cope with a bashing. The harder one works the luckier one gets!0

Forgive the non-technical question but I figure if anyone might be able to give a considered response, it would be you guys. I am seriously needing a new phone so I can work on the move. No internet 'lag' and responsive email, space for images and ability to download documents that are sent to me are what I am needing. Which would serve me better on these out of Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S5839i or [FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Huawei Ascend G300. As you can tell money is a consideration, and I am on a great family sim deal from Tesco in case this is important to know.
Thank you all in advance!

DEBT FREE AND LOVING LIFE0 -
Huawei G300 every time for me. An absolute steal at £100. Easily unlocked via ebay (code) for a fiver. It just doesn't feel (or look) like a £100 phone at all, it has Gorilla Glass (unheard of in a phone this cheap) and the performance and battery life is great. Plus Android4/ICS free upgrade coming in the next week or so.0

The iPhone is also a high end phone in a one handed sized body unlike Android phones where you tend to have to get a huge phone if you want a high end device. There simply isn't any choice when it comes to Android.
So what about people that want a 4 to 5 inch Iphone. Loads of options there NOT!!0 -

I think if they gave them out free people wouldn't use them LOL0 -
I'm quite happy with my current phone, S2. I will hold off upgrading until the end of the contract. I will be watching keenly what Mozilla do with their Firefox OS. I would like it to be a success and be able to upgrade to it.
If not it will be an Android phone of some sort.
I'd never consider an apple phone. Over priced for what it is, you don't know what the apps are doing with your personal info, lack of choice. Who wants a phone from a company primarily in the patent and marketing business??
I don't want a nokia or symbian phone, they have no interest for me.
Win mob? No thank you. Microsoft are as untrustworthy as apple.
Blackberry has never interested me and I see nothing to catch me interest.0
