Hello everyone - thanks to everyone who was so helpful when I was looking for a CDC. We have ended up with the most bonkers woman - she started the meeting by saying how interested she was in helping people and would support us then talked at us for an hour and a half about her various ailments and interrupted me mid answer repeatedly. If I had been able to find another CDC locally I would have. She also promised to ring 2 days into the diet and didnt - some CDC!
Anyway, Ive had a great first week and have lost 9lbs.
The only thing is the stinky breath - its like chicken poo in the mouth all the time. Hubby and I are trying for a baby and now we have to go to the bathroom and brush, rinse etc before getting amorous so there goes the spontaneity!! LOL!! I cant have chewing gum as I have gastritis (bit like an ulcer) and those breath strips are temporary - any other suggestions? Good job I work from home on my own!! The cats dont seem to mind!0 -

Chewing gum is a no-no for most people really. Try a spray mouth freshener like goldspot (available in places like boots). Also drinking more water if you can, helps.
Well done on the 9lbs. That's fab:TCambridge Weight Plan Consultant0 -

Ooooh I'm mad at myself
It's my time of the month and yesterday I couldnt resist some chocolate. Theres a lot left over in our house from Xmas, I told OH to put it up in the cupboard, then yesterday I was cooking his dinner and had to go in said cupboard for some ingredients and there was shed loads of choccy looking at me
Anyway I ended up having about 6 quality street/celebration type sweets
And today is weight day.
Oh what have I done
One thing I will say though is that I woke up this morning STARVING hungry, and it's the first day on this diet thats happened and I'm sure it's due to the chocolate so I definitely wont be doing that again. It's weird, I was cooking OH dinner and that really doesnt bother me, and the choc thing hasn't been but yesterday I would have committed murder to have some!
Weight day today, 8pm, will let you all know how I get onSometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Claire - the best thing to do if you want chocolate is to have a Chocolate Shake for breakfast, another Hot chocolate shake for lunch and a CD Chocolate fudge for supper!
Or substitute a bar when you get to Week 3!
I had to do this one day when a really bad chocolate craving hit!
You will find that the chocolate cravings at totm disappear altogether, due to the balanced nutrition of the CD diet so by next month you shouldn't have a problem!

Well done on your weight loss this week!
I can't wait till I'm allowed bars, although it's my second week from tomorrow I might ask CDC if I can have some for the next week, I know it's not strictly allowed but if it stops me picking at other things then surely the lesser of 2 evils??
I've got a water tablet to take this afternoon since I'm due on and bloated, but a woman at work whose done Cambridge has told me that your not meant to take them while doing the diet. Is this right?? I hadn't heard that before.
3 pints of water down so far, doing well with this water malarkeySometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
Well done c&Q,
I am on day three now and although I have fallen off the wagon twice already ie 4 mince pies yesterday and 4 mince pies today at a 'when the kids get home from school moment' I have done something that I do not normally do-I got back on the waggon.
Today I shall not wander.
Hope everyone is doing ok. I am so suprised that I am not as hungry as I thought I would be. A lightle light headed and dry mouthed, but going to docs about that anyway as i have tingling and swelling and sometimes a bit of numbness in my hands and feet. Wish me luck, hope it is not to serious.

The Cambridge Diet is naturally diuretic and you should not take any diuretic pills without your GP's permission.
If you are still bloated try cutting back on the coffee and see if that helps.
