If the bloating is just from totm then it will pass!

I don't drink coffee!!
I still feel bloated, I think I am going to have half the tablet and see how I get on with that.
I wouldn't take it if I were you. The best way to deal with bloating and water retention is to drink more water. Yes really!:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

I am on day three now and although I have fallen off the wagon twice already ie 4 mince pies yesterday and 4 mince pies today at a 'when the kids get home from school moment' I have done something that I do not normally do-I got back on the waggon.
Today I shall not wander.
Hope everyone is doing ok. I am so suprised that I am not as hungry as I thought I would be. A lightle light headed and dry mouthed, but going to docs about that anyway as i have tingling and swelling and sometimes a bit of numbness in my hands and feet. Wish me luck, hope it is not to serious.

Well done for keep jumping back on the wagon that's not easy. That after school time is really the hardest I agree. I find it's a good idea to get super organised with the kids meals getting them prepared and cleared away ASAP. I try to go in a different room while they are actually eating if I'm finding it difficult.
It will get so much easier for you if you can resist any cheating.
I think the best reason to do this diet is for the health benefits I found so many aches pains and ailments disappeared or at least got significantly better with the weight loss.:j I have also noticed that they are coming back with the weight gain too including numbness in the hands (usually on waking). So this is a huge motivation to me at this time to get the weight off again.:A

ClaireLR - Sorry to hear the going has been a bit tough for you over the last couple of days, the idea about the bars makes sense to me so see what your CDC says. Well done for getting back on the horse, keep focused on your goal!
Congratulations on your losses C&Q & Nomealone. You are both stars & really inspiring!
To everyone who started this week - Way to go people!! Good luck & may the force be with you!
Just in case you are wondering how I am doing - On the up side, I have had a good 1st week & I have stuck to the plan. However, I have had some quite bad headaches which I think may be caffeine withdrawal & I know what everyone's saying about the manky mouth feeling. I just hope I can sustain this over the next six months to get to my target weight. I get weighed tonight 7.15pm so I'll let you know how I've done later on...Lost 10lbs yay!0 -
Hi y'all!
Well, I was doing a bit of research on the net today into Lighter Life and then stumbled on info on the CD (already talkin like an old hand,eh!).
Whilst researching, I stumbled across this thread and have been up for over 2 hours longer than planned because I'm really fascinated! C&Q, you have certainly been very informative throughout!
I'm waiting for LL & CD counsellors to get back to me tomorrow, and will be going to an information session for LL in a couple of days to check out what it's all about. I think I have a food addiction and not too sure if LL is the way to go, but by the way everyone's talking on here, I think I may just be easily swayed towards CD.
I'm wondering if anyone here has tried LL aswell & wondered about their thoughts & experiences. I know it's more expensive, but what concerns me is that, some of what I've read on this thread has made me believe that the counsellors don't do very much on CD. I don't want to just catch them for 10 minutes for a quick chat and feel like I'm wasting their time (do I have to pay more for one to one time with CD?), but then with LL, I'm not keen on group counselling sessions.
I do need that additional support though, & hope I don't get a useless counsellor on CD that wants to just take my money & not bother much with me other than selling me stuff. I felt like that on WW. I just paid a lot of money & listened to a load of tosh, with no individual support & someone telling me 'you can do it', & actualy making me believe I can.
I have about 3 stone to lose, I'll be fine with a 2 & a half loss though. So on CD, if I started, let's say on monday coming (14.01.08), & I followed it to the letter, how much can I realistically be looking to lose by the second week of March? I'm hoping to go on a weeks holiday then. I'm also wondering what will happen to me following CD while I go away (too much yummy food abroad!)
Sorry to have gone on so much! I'm feeling very inspired & really need to see a fast kick start to stick at something! So this may be my god send.
Thanks in advance for any advice you all can give me!
(This is me with food...)

Hi FF
I'm not sure about the differences between the 2, I know that CDC have to have lost weight on the program themselves so they definitely would understand where your coming from with any problems your having. With Cambridge you go to see a counsellor once a week or less and it's ALWAYS on a 1-2-1 basis. They weight and measure you to keep track of how your doing and then spend some time with you discussing how your doing, any problems etc. My CDC has become more like a friend, we talk about all sorts and if I have any problems I know she is always at the end of the phone.
You can expect to lose 4 pounds per week but generally lose more in the first week. so if you started on 14.01.2008 you would lose around 24 pounds at 4 pounds a week, but of course if you lost extra the first week (most people do, see my last paragraph!) then that would be a bonus.
Another difference is that with Cambridge you have 3 packs of food per day, LL you have 4, but altogether you only get the same nutrition from 4LL packs as you do from 3 cambridge.
Try it, nothing ventured nothing gained ay! You say you think you may have a food addiction, I think that about myself to. Sometimes it's easier to have no food than stop at a sensible amount (in the same way that an alcoholic can't stop at just one drink IYSWIM). Where about do you live, see if someone on here can recommend a CDC for you perhaps??
aellon - thats a fab loss :T :T :T Well done you!!
I went and has lost 13 pounds, am feeling very very pleased with myself and it's made the last week worth getting through. 1 stone 1 pound to go for holidays!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -

For FoodFanatic
The other main difference between LL and CD is the cost.
On three packs a day CD costs roughly £36 per week, LL is £66
The foodpacks on CD taste better than on LL - a lot of people go to CD from LL.
If you want to discuss this further go to the Forum at https://www.minimins.com where there are separate Forums for both LL and CD.
