OK Spud, I had a look at what my treadmill was tonight when I got off.
Its a York Fitness T500, I think the newer version is T501, which is on Amazon for £299.00
The reviews look pretty good for us beginners, the main negative point is that it only goes up to 10km /hr, so for more experienced runners you can't run too fast on it. I don't think we need to worry about that yet? Maybe next year don't ya think!!!!
Thanks Alpha, its amazing what difference a day makes isn't it.
Princess you will need to let us know how you are doing.
Don't forget that the first few days are the worst. If you drink Tea / Coffee / Cola, keep up the caffeine intake, withdrawal from caffeine is a lot worse than from carbs and you will feel very ill if you try and give it all up at the same time.
Keep letting us know how you are getting on, and good luck.0 -
Thanks for that Dunc. Just had a look and the maximum user weight is 17st 3, so DH wouldnt be able to use it for a while.
I can only dream of 10km an hour :rolleyes:Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches :think:Loves being a Wonderbra friend :kisses3:

I didn't look at that Spud, No you would be better off with one of the ones you had seen already with the better weight limits.0

Hiya This is my second time on Cambridge. Last year I went from 12st13lb down to 10st13lb. Unfortunately I ate my way back up to 12st 5lb. I've been back on Cambridge for 3 wks, lost 4.5lb 1st week, 3.5lb last week and hopefully a good one this week too. Have decided to go right down to 10 stone this time so you and I are around the similar mark. I'm 5ft 5. Will let you all know what happens at my weigh in this morning.

One box on my chart duly coloured in:j
Of to a seminar this morning where they will be providing breakfast, probably in the form of muffins and pastries, so I have come into work handy and had my shake before I go to ward off temptation.
Need to get another box filled in, WI tomorrow so can't afford another bad day.
See you all later.0
