Hi Lisa, you might feel a bit head-achey in the first 2-3 days, i certainly did! i felt like carp!!

I'm totally with you on the size 14's... i'm aiming for 12 stone and or size 14, which ever comes first.... when i get to those, i might want to continue but not setting goals any lower than that for now....

  • Hello all

Can i join pls?? I start ss on monday and have spent this week "preparing" by cutting out all the rubbish i eat and uppping my water intake!

Feeling it today tho as fi eel ill and really headachy and that is just from reducing my calories and cutting loads out. Wonder what i will be like when i am on the diet next week.

I am really fussy with my food and dreading it but i want to loose 5 stone and most importantly keep it off and change my eating habits so its got to be done.

Going to read thro the thread now to gain inspiration and to get a idea of the weight loss to give me inspiration! lol

you might find it not too bad if you've already cut the carp out now, and shouldn't be in withdrawal by then, you might have got through the worse!!

Thank you Maz. I am hoping i have helped myself this week by cutting down.

Just the hunger to look forward too next week. Also i eat from boredom and habiot mostly so gonna write a list of things to keep me really busy next week so i dont have time to think about being hungry! lol

I have my first meeting with by cdc tom night then start my diet monday morning!

She sounded lovely on the phone and we had a long chat. She said also that ideal weight is your waist being half your height. She said it is more accurate than BMI etc as some people have different genes, large boned, big boobies etc but your height doesnt lie. Has anyone else heard of this.

She said she will measure my wait tom but not looking forward to that as it still bit flabby from having baby few months ago :o

I did it and lost 4 stone-

I have put 2 back on...

You really need to work the issues out WHY you eat and WHAT you eat or you will just put it back on...

PM me if you want more help...

This is sensible and sound advice; you need to examine the motives why you are obese or overeat.

In all cases, it is absolutely essential to exercise regularly, it really is the key to sustained and realistic weight loss.

Dieting only makes you fat if your life style isnt modified to incorporated exercise and fitness.

It isnt about gyms and expensive equipment. Brisk walking can help until you feel fit enough to run or swim.

One more thing; it helps with depression too, which in itself can exacerbate eating problems.
:o Keep trying.........................what else is there to do? :o
  • Totally agree with you Bunny and CWP.

If the eating habits arent resolved and changed then you will just put the weight back on again.

During my prep time this week i have taken a long look at my routine and why i feel need to eat when i do and what i do.

A lot is boredom and habit so i am sorting ways round that.

Also when i start the diet on Monday should i give it a few days before i start to exercise? I didnt know if i should start as i mean to go on or to let my body adjust to the diet first.

    TIA

  • What works for me is a bar in the morning, followed by choc shakes, blended in the liquidiser so that they are nice and frothy like a hot chocolate. I find that works for me when I am at work and having a coffee. Infact, I think I have got quite a taste for the cranberry bars.

    Week 1 - 10lbs
    Week 2 - 3lbs
    Week 3 - 3lbs
    Week 4 - 5 lbs

Total= 21lbs. Yippee and I feel like a size 8, which I am most definately not at 13st. 1 but I feel tons better. So to everybody who is struggling keep on going it wil be worth it, that's what I keep telling myself anyway.

  • Hi Guys

Been hoping to rejoin you on this thread. You may remember I was having a really successful run at cambridge from 1/1/09 and had a nineteen day perfect run and then out of the blue stopped and couldn't get back. I was really surprised as I was enjoying it felt great and had no cravings. Well this week I have found out I'm pregnant ( a real shocker thought I'd finished with all that) I now wonder if that was why I stopped as I would have been a few days pregnant when I stopped. Weird ah!

    Good Luck all!
