  • Good evening - another 3lb this week and 2.5 inches (on stage 3a as well so I'm absolutely thrilled) although CDC said this wouldn't be the case next week so I should expect to lose between 1-2lb. So, I've now hit the 70lb mark and bought my first size 14 suit for work!! God, it felt so good!

Only 8lb to go to target so here's to the next 4 weeks - I know I won't be in maintenance for Christmas but I'll be well on the way.

Hope everyone has had a good week and here's to a great weight loss for all.:T

The Cambridge Diet can only be bought from a CDC

For a man on Sole Source the diet is 4 meal replacements per day

Or you could do SS+ with milk which is 4 CD replacements plus a milk allowance

Or you could do SS+ which is 3 replacements plus a meal of protein and veg

Or 810 which is the same as SS+ with a higher quantity of protein and veg

If you are taking any medication, have a health issue or have a BMI over 40 you need to have a Medical Form signed by your GP - available from a CDC.

As to the length of time, it depends how much weight you need/want to lose.

Cambridge say around 14lbs loss per calendar month on SS. Men lose weight a lot faster than women anyway due to the higher metabolism.

A guy on one of the Forums lost 6 stones in 9 weeks. A male friend of mine lost 3 stones in 6 weeks on SS about two years ago.

Do make an appointment with a CDC and have a chat.

What have you got to lose but weight?
  • Have been packing for Conference this weekend. Flying down tomorrow.

Have been planning our Wedding for 2009 and everything is falling together nicely.

Haven't got my engagement ring yet but my other half has found some gorgeous rings for me to choose from.

Hope everyone has a great CD Weekend x
  • Hi all thought i'd post a message. Ive been on Cambridge since the last week of may, I started at about 25 stone and I am currently just over 16 aiming for about 13 1/2 to be in my healthy range, not proud of being so heavy but proud that ive done the right thing now. Its a safe and balanced way to lose weight which I would recomend to anyone. Ive done the 810 plan since week 12 and lost well over a stone a month, moving up to 1000 on the 22nd december so I can have a drink over xmas and get my body used to eating more, will be doing that for the remainder of the diet, theres no rush and id rather 4 months longer and keep it off than 2 and pile it all back on again after. I know I could of done ss from the start and being a bloke would of probably lost even more but considered this a better way, ive been able to eat all the way and have stuck to it 100%.
As with any diet the immportance isnt in the diet but in the maintenance, these people that pile it back on have done so because they didnt maintain and more than often went back to all the same habits. You are as likely to put it back on with this diet as you are with any other.

    Very well done!! :T

I started out heavier than you were - which I am ashamed of - but that is all past now.

I am about 8lbs from my goal weight having lost about half of me.

Keep up the good work :T
