  • Hi all,

Still doing really well this week and am really pleased there's no way I'm going to !!!! it up now before friday when I weigh in.

Just thought of another tip that may help some that has helped me a lot this week especially in the first difficult days. With it being so cold at the moment it's so much easier to look to food for comfort in the evenings. Instead of this, I know this might sound sad to some (especially my partner!) but, I've bought myself two packs of pink fluffy bed socks from tesco and wrap up warm in nice fuzzy clean jammas and a comfy blanket and look for funny things to watch on tv (or find a good book) with a warm drink - usually quite weak black coffee or tea. This done after a lovely bath with candles and nice smellies makes you feel great and very cheerful. It seems to help fill the void you might feel without food.

    Hope this helps someone.
  • That sounds lovely ... might give it a try one eve. I have been having my two shakes during the day then a small meal in the eve (from SS+ list), to gradually wean me onto SS, I'm just so hungry, I have been having plenty of water. I am seeing my CDC on 22nd so I'm hoping to be on SS by the weekend so I have a good loss.

Has anyone done just SS+ with good weight loss, as from previous experiance my loss only comes really from Ketosis?
  • Also I know CnQ has seen a good loss when using SS+ but I find it so hard to lose weight, I have the forms from my Doc to get my thyroid tested, so must do that next week.

You really need to have three shakes plus the meal, by having only two CD meals you are missing out on vital nutrients. There is no doubt that this will be why you are feeling hungry.

You will still be in ketosis on SS+

I stay in ketosis on 810 too!! Technically we shouldn't be in ketosis on 810 but some are.
  • I was looking for a pattern this morning and came across a whole load of pre-CD photographs. Ghastly pre-CD photographs.

So have scanned them and uploaded them to the computer for future use.
  • Thank you CnQ!

I am more motivated than ever after reading the postings here..
  • I love the Cambridge diet - for me it has become a way of life.

Journey is nearly over now for me and I will be starting to work up the plans.

  • Got my interview today - meeting with a guy from Cambridge Head Office re the Slimmer of the Year.

Then I am away all weekend.

    So be CD good x
  • Herbalife helped me to lose weight without feeling hungry.
The Herbalife program is basically two high protein shakes a day, which taste pretty good, with one healthy meal and healthy snacks in between (I liked this bit!). They encourage light exercise to develop muscle tone to help keep the weight off and have a variety of other drinks and supplements available too.
You can get discounted Herbalife online at www.HealthyLife2u.co.uk
  • Been for my weigh in today and stayed the same!! Can't believe it. I've lost 3 inches but I'm gutted I've STS as I've not cheated. However I did tell my CDC this is the first week since starting the diet that I've felt hungry (even had hung pains and rumbles) and suffered from wind - something that hasn't happened since starting CD.

So my CDC has said after being on the diet for 18 weeks and losing 67lb (I know, I should be pleased) I have to move up to 810 to see if this kick starts my metabolism but I'm worried I won't lose any more weight by moving up and I want to lose another stone before moving up onto maintenance.

Feeling very depressed - need advice and inspiration ladies..........x
