Got my dress for the Cambridge Conference Dinner!
Can't hardly believe how beautiful it is.
Have never been able to wear a long evening dress before so am going to revel in it.
Found a necklace on ebay to go with it.
Got the sandals/evening shawl and other accessories so am all set!
Just need to decide what to wear for the Day Conference now!

Hi All,
I am new to thread and have been trying to get onto sole source for a few weeks now, I did complete a full week and then blew it by having a night out, then thought, I'll start Monday etc ... then it got harder and harder to get back to it, I have started again today, but all I think about is food!!!!:mad:0 -
Why not try one of the plans with food, like SS+? The losses are the same as on SS
At least then you would have one meal a day of proper food to look forward to0 -
Hi
Just an update of how I'm doing on my first week for ages on SS. At the moment I'm doing really well and have no intentions of messing it up! I have a party on Sat but my weigh in is on Fri morning so will allow myself something for that. I'm feeling so much better and full of energy although the first weekend was pretty hard.
EMSY - I've been just like you but I'm proof that you can get back on it after messing around. It can be really difficult if you have an active social life to tell friends you can't go to their party (or whatever it may be) and not eat their food. Just get back on the next morning and you will feel like you have regained control straight away rather than waiting until "monday".
Don't drag it out as long as I have as it can prove pretty expensive and you begin to convince yourself that you can't do it. Stock up on some good books and dvds to keep your mind off the food during the evenings.
C+Q's advice sounds like a good idea if you are finding it difficult and it's encouraging to know that having a small meal won't affect your progress. Good luck.
ps. Just remember after a couple of days on SS the thoughts about food will subside and you will find it much easier......I was even sniffing the clothes I'd just ironed on Sunday as I was convinced they smelled of toast and it was making me hungry!0 -
Hi Everyone, Great photos CnQ you look sensational!
I've lost another 5lbs this week, so thats 33 lbs so far and I'm really excited. The only thing I'm worried about is that I don't seem to be losing anything from my face. I've always carried my weight on my tummy and face and although I've dropped 2 dress sizes nothing seems to be shifting from my double chin. Anyone have any tips?
I've lost three stone (hopefully a bit more this week) and judging by some of the pictures taken of me lately - my face is the last place weight goes from! Although only recently I have noticed any extra chin-age has disappeared. I think on some people it will be one of the last places for it to go. Have you got much more to lose?0 -
When I have done 810 I have lost the same lbs per week as on SS or SS+ so the extra cals don't make that much difference.
SS = 440 cals
SS+ = 615 cals
810
so 350 cals per day extra from SS to 810 is 350 x 7 = 2400
it takes 3500 cals over and above required BMR to gain 1lb or 3500 cals below to lose 1lb
That is why the difference is so little.
I went back onto 810 nearly a week ago - due to the cold weather!0 -
Thanks for the great advice / support CnQ and Testcardgirl, that's why I need to join the forum, cos I lost 5+ stone in lighterlife a few years back and then got married had a baby, bla bla and am now bigger than ever.
I can't afford to do the Lighterlife but it was better in a sense that you have that group support and you don't want to cheat cos you will look a complete idiot at the next meeting.
I had a small meal yesterday, salad & fish. I'm hoping to just have a milkshake tonight and then early night to get away from my kitchen!!!0 -
Well Group Sessions never really appealed to me although in my work I do that for other people.
It is worth doing them for the very reason you mentioned!!
Hope all goes well for you0 -
hi everyone. I ve just started cd for a week and have lost 5 lbs. I have done the ketone test and found out that I am in high ketosis. is there any suggestions on how to lower it down? currently i am taking around 3.5 litres of water per day.0
-
Well done on the weight loss!
The ketostix are notoriously unreliable.
It is not likely that you are dehydrated when taking 3.5L of water so no need to worry there.
Keep up the good work!0
