Glad you got through Day 1, Foodfanatic. Did you see the CDC in Ruislip in the end.
I'm on day 28 and just started my add a meal week. The cottage cheese (all 50g of it) tasted divine! I was drooling at the door waiting for asda to deliver it. I ordered just what i needed and nothing more but......... Asda delivered someone elses bag of shopping with mine full of maltesers, potato salad and steak and kidney pies. Sometimes i feel like the fates are against me! I even rang asda and begged them to take it back, but they told me to keep it as a goodwill gesture because they forgot my quorn! Going to take it to work tomorrow and offload it!Proud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0 -

Morning everyone
Hope youre feeling better Claire and the migraine has finally gone.
We've had a very stressful weekend here - my hubby had quite a bad car accident on Friday. They suspected nerve damage as he immediately had stomach pain and then diarrhoea and nausea but fortunately it has settled down so it may have been shock. He is such a trooper though he has stuck to his diet! Bless! He's got to go to physio now and I'm hoping he will recover soon.
I wanted to feed him to cheer him up - isnt food always the answer to emotional stuff? But both of us were strong and just got through the weekend with lots of cuddles and he even went back down south to work on Sunday night.
I have stuck to my swimming and have been building up my lengths although I have to admit it nearly killed me yesterday I was shattered and not in the mood but afterwards I feel great.
I am starting language classes this morning. All this extra stuff is much better than lying round the house wanting to eat. Hopefully when my company gets going I wont have time to but at the minute this is a quiet time for us.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Sorry to hear about hubby hope he feels better soon. I had a car crash a few years ago and it really shook me up, I still get a little nervous when I think someone isn't going to stop at a junction.CWC to Maintainer of the Year 09CWC to Slimmer of the Year Semi-Finalist 09CWC to Inspiration Winner Slimmer of the Year 08Sponsor of the Year 07CWC 23 yrs - CCCC Member0

Hi all
Started my day just now with a big glass of water and a cappuccino (why can I never spell that?) shake, which was better than the butterscotch (I have late starts and late finishes). I can still taste a teeny powdery vitamin taste though, which I don't like at first, but after the first couple of gulps, it's not so bad.
I went to bed very early last night. Well, early for me. And I got up about 4 times for a wee. This tired me out in itself though LOL!
I did see the CDC in Ruislip thank you! Great recommendation.
I have a busy day ahead of me, trying to get my car looked at. It looks like it's on it's way out, so it looks like I'll be loosing even more £££'s this year, and we're only in February! That holiday in March might have to go on hold now... Well, at least by the time I save up for a holiday later this year, I should be the old svelte me by then!0 -
Morning everyone
Well I am feeling a little better today but haven't gone to work as I still don't feel 100% and didn't fancy staring at a computer all day long.
Food fanatic let me know what you think of the soups, I gave up after trying a couple of them because I didnt like them, to powdery tasting for me, so now I have all shakes and bars which I love.
Nomealone, sorry to hear about your hubby - hope he is feeling better now?? I know what you mean about feeding them to cheer them up, I always try and cook OH something nice for tea when he's had a hard day - nice in my book means calorific so in actual fact I'm not doing him any favours, just making him put weight on. Mind you he eats for England regardless of what I cook him, he can eat bags of crisps a night sometimes and never put any weight on - so annoying.
CDC - do you know who won the slimmer of the year last year? I remember a girl called katie perks (I think) won it in 2006, she was in a magazine not long afterwards having had £50k of surgery paid for for her by some television show. She looked amazing!!Sometimes you have to go throughthe rain to get to therainbow0 -
I have been feeling hungry. I want to lick some crisps or something. I'm going to have a soup soon, Oriental Chilli, just having a black coffee and hoping that will take the edge off for now.
ClaireLR: I will let you know, though I have only had one so far, and having Oriental Chilli in a few mins. The two shakes I have had so far were powdery, but the soup I had yesterday wasn't. So I'm hoping the one today will be good, though I'm not a big soup drinker, and I always want bread to dip into my soup. So far it's all not been too bad, but driving past McDonalds and then thinking about some left over WW Mint Choc bars I tried to finish off before I started CD (mint choc bars - yummy!) became a bit difficult. So I'll either be having a mint choc shake now or the soup. Oooh! I don't know! I'm spoilt for choice! Lol!0 -
Oh my gosh! Oriental Chilli was yummy!!! I wolfed it down because I was so hungry, and now I feel a whole lot better.
No I don't. I want chocolate. I want to lick a chocolate bar now...but I shall resist.0 -
FoodFanatic - The bit about licking crisps made me laugh!
Claire - I tried the Coke with Almond - I love it - it is like Amaretto. I know you shouldnt have it but if Ive been feeling like I want sweeties, Ive had a tiny glass of it and it takes the craving away.
Personally I've really gone off the soups - dont know why - I have been on banana for breakfast, choc for lunch and cranberry bar for tea for two weeks and will be next week aswell as my CDC is on holiday now for two weeks. Not that she is much use when she is here miaow LOL!
I think I am going to adopt Linda instead!
Thank you all for your well wishes for hubby - I have spoken to him today and he is feeling a lot better. The sooner he is back from his contract the better then I can feed him up (with lots of salad LOL!!!)0 -
