Well done to you then fififoofoo!! Hop aboard and start choosing your bikini for the summer:j
  • Just got my call from the councellor - she's now got my details so there is no going back! One question - this may sound realy daft but I have to ask. I suffer from cellulite and am really embarrased about it. Will losing weight make my legs go more 'crinkly' looking or will it look reduced? I can hear you laughing already!:rotfl:
  • Hi all,

Am at the end of day 2 and feeling good. Am just in the middle of cooking dinner for my mum but staying motivated. Went to see my CD counselor and was pleased to find out that I have lost 6lbs since 4th Jan. Am starting at 11.5 thought because that was the weight I was at the beginning of this week when I started CD again.

To answer your question, Fififoofoo, I think you just need to do some exercise after the first week or so and you should tone up a bit. Maybe get some of those scrubs and loofas for the shower that are supposed to help too?

Oops must go, battery about to die on laptop.

    Byeeeee

There is some chat that cellulite is caused bu toxins (not sure i believe that but...) so all the water you need to drink could flush you out if u believe that theory.
I have noticed i have a horrible turkey lurkey neck now! Ah the vanity!
  • Hey all

I have finally got my doctor to sign for me to do CD, so I will be collecting the form on friday (£15 for a signature - the cheek of it! I said I wanted to lose lbs. Not £££).

I plan to start on monday, but I've just realised that I'm due to start TOTM around the second or third day of CD. Anything I can be pre warned about for my first week weigh in? And I'm wondering what to do if I get my PMT cravings for chocolate... I didn't think it was a good idea to put it off until after that, as I'm stuffing food down me quicker than the shops can restock it. I don't think I should delay it for one more week. My start date has already been delayed by my doctors signature on the form taking over 2 weeks to get done.

I have been eating so much for the last 3 weeks as a way to make sure I have everything I could possibly miss before I start. To be honest, I realised I didn't enjoy the food as much as I thought I would, so that could be a good thing. However, once the diet starts, I might start thinking differently.

Well, any advice around TOTM would be very helpful. As far as I know, I will be on SS when I start.
  • I started totm on my second day of being on SS - and I lost 17lbs in my first week.

My chocolate cravings have disappeared with pmt since being on CD - so that should help you - you can find that you get carb-cravings but really this is a mental not a physical craving - your head plays tricks on you!

    Hope all goes well!

  • I would agree with Cute n Quirky just to start it - I cant deny that TOTM can be hard (see my previous post and the toast episode) but I think TOTM at the start would be easier.

I have done SS before and actually found TOTM got easier into the diet (this time I was missing my hubby and feeling sad so thats what pushed me over the edge I think). I dont know about anyone else but I had less P pain and felt generally better with stronger nails and shinier hair.

And about cellulite - definate improvement I think even without body brushing / exercise.

I met someone yesterday whom I havent seen since before Christmas and they said "ooh your diet must be going well, your face is much less fat and puffy than it was" - I think there is a compliment in there somewhere - good lord - some people really do need lessons....
    :o
  • Had to laugh out loud at that one!

    Talk about a back-handed compliment!

    afternoon!

I'm back on the wagon today after my falling off Monday and misery yesterday. Sorry for moaning everyone!!

Re the body brushing, I definitely found that it helped first time round to get rid of cellulite. I think I'm going to find my brush actually and start doing it again, not only does it make you look better but I also found that it helped to make you feel better as well.

I've started taking more care of myself now than I used to - my hairs always done nicely instead of washed and left, I've got more interest in clothes (mainly because they look nicer on me than they did 4 stone ago) and I'm forever going for massages/facials/waxing - it's my way of treating myself. Before, I used to "treat" myself with food all the time, my counsellor tells me to buy myself something nice when I'm feeling down so that's what I'm going to try and do from now on. Today I've bought myself flowers - better than waiting for OH to do the deed!!

  • Glad youre feeling better Claire, enjoy the flowers

Remember only 12 pounds to go - that will fly by or off I suppose

I'm off out for my little treat - a wander round TK Maxx - I could stay in there all day and Im counting it as exercise!
    :o
