This is going to sound a bit mean but it made me and my OH smile
We pulled into the petrol station today to fill up, usual queues but nothing other than 1 waiting on each pump - anyway we got behind a huge 4x4 we couldnt see round, she was on the 2nd pump with a gap in front of her so OH swung round her to go in front when he spotted it was coned off and he promptly backed up and waited behind her. When she was finished OH said "the bloke behind is going to think Im being awkward" "No, it will be fine he will see her swing around the cones and us stop and figure it out" I replied. Sure enough before he had even come to stop the bloke behind leaned on the horn, not a polite little beep either
As OH got out the bloke made a total show of himself, revved his engine and spun his tyres as he pulled round us, only to then spot the cones for himself :rotfl: He then tried to move back behind us and his gap had been taken so he had no choice but to drive out the petrol station and re-join the now much longer queue a few pumps over :rotfl:

Two things made me smile today. The first was when the garage that is fixing my car, called and said it would be ready tomorrow and all for under £100, phew major relief.
The second was going along to open evening at my sons school and looking over all their lovely work. I could see how they had both come on over the year. This happy, proud and warm feeling came over me as they have both really tried hard. Some of the things they wrote were really funny too and gave me a right giggle. The best day of your life is the one on which you decide your life is your own, no apologies or excuses. No one to lean on, rely on or blame. The gift is yours - it is an amazing journey - and you alone are responsible for the quality of it. This is the day your life really begins.0 -
I was listening to local radio earlier when i was in the car, and there was someone on from a think an amateur AmDram group who were putting on a play "Where the sun don't shine" he was asking if anyone could help them as they needed to borrow a coffin.
Oh yes just happen to have a spare coffin in the shed.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

My youngest son made me smile today...
He was handed a form to fill in at school and one of the questions was "what sort of friends do you have?
He answered "Geeks and nerds".
Mind you, he refused to answer the question on what he does outside of school, telling them to mind their own business as they tell them not to bring their homelife into school!
Ah, the autistic brain.....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
