welcome just marsha. You'll probably find like I did that even just doing a little bit each day makes a big difference over time.

aww, cheer up pigpen. maybe stop for some chocolate and a cup of coffee. Usually works for me :D

@mrs-moneypenny, thanks, no I'm sure it's not too serious, but me being me I get really overwhelmed really easily, and anything vaguely nhs-related seems to just send me into a spin!

    have a good day all.

In an odd twist of fate, my washer / dryer just decided to pack in, so I've ended up cleaning out the filter & pump anyway... bit annoying, but at least it's something else off the list!

well that didnt work too well
made a start on the dining table in an attempt to clear/cull paperwork and accumilated stuff that piles up there. i had piles on the back of one of the settees, work school scouts woodland govs and martial arts a carier hooked on a chair for rubbish a rown and green bag for recycling. DD3s bf arrived for a cuppa and to take DS2 out for day but needed to check broadband deals so plonked him infront of puter with a cuppa then the rain started so ran out with DS2 to grab the dry washing in (it was out overnight) DS1 fast asleep on other settee so threw washing we were bringing in in the chair lounge looked a total bomb site and theres a knock at the door my Dad and step mum. (oh the shame) theyd come round a day early with a card and pressie for me and stayed for a cuppa kindly trying to ignore the mess around them. just once why cant someone drop round unexpectedly when the house is tidy!!!!
guests and DS2 now decluttered so im frantically trying to create order out of chaos before lunchtime
    HHC anyone?

I'm happy but tired. We celebrated DS1's 18th with a family party and the rain stayed away!

Hope he had a great time. I'll pm you later about getting together, I can do Wednesday or Friday of the week you are off (A level results week:eek:)
I've read this thread three times so far, each time wondering 'if I join in, will I actually do it?'. My house is in quite a shocking state at the moment - over the last year I've not seen the house as a priority and have allowed the mess to get somewhat out of hand (and the debts - off to the clearing debts board in a moment!).

Welcome aboard. As you say it has taken a while for your house to get in a mess so it will take a while to sort it out, don't lose heart. Baby steps.

    Collect order from M&S
Deposit large bag of books at Oxfam bookstore

Just finishing lunch and then to the kitchen, I did the windows before I went out.

Raining on St Swithin's Day here but as it has rained for the past 40 days anyhow it'll make little difference.
