finding vibes to mrs moneypenny..
so, for today, I've:
-cleared and wiped the worktops
-cleaned the hob of doom (ran out of ajax so tried using a half and half mix of salt and bicarb, with a scourer and some hot water. seems to work well)
-wiped the cupboard fronts and the kickboards
-cleared the hotspot
-done a bit of ironing
floor still to do..
plants still need re-potting. I've been saying that for the past three weeks now.. time to make a frog-list I think.
thankyou flylady0 -
They won't we tried that when I was pregnant and unable to travel there.. while not seeing them is ok with me I am ok with going once a month, I agreed to that before we had Freja.. but we have been 2 of the last 3 weekends.. I am a bit attached to my bed I fear lol.
front room looks lovely... ish.. I need to suck the carpet though it is a bit bitty... and...
drumroll please!!!
Fabian is coming home today!!!!!!!!!
2 out of 3 weekends seems a bit much as far as I am concerned.... will OH not go back to once a month? Could you not try and eek it out so you get to stay at home the occasional weekend when the rest of your kids are at KHs?
Surely it is blatantly not fair that only you do the travelling? What sort of people are they?:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
Lazy and a bit self obsessed..
.. His sister works Sundays and his stepdad works Sundays but the could come during the week. travelodge etc would be cheaper and the trains.. his mother drives but doesn't like to.. so we have to.. well.. OH does.. I just sleep in the passenger chair.
We only wen't 2 weekends because we hadn't been for so long but we are going next 11th August so 4 weeks away.. I agreed to stay a few daysas we have no children for a week.. Though I have a feeling we will have DS3 as KH is excelling himself and almost killed DS3 with a serious hypo yesterday.

Can solicitors/nurses etc do NOTHING about KH and his attitude to DS3's diabetes?
We had a diabetic in school for years and training didn't extend to MSA's but I knew enough to have a quiet word with the class teacher if I'd spotted that she'd left some of her packup....:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
*slips in sniggering and cackling evilly*
My ironing pile has SHRUNK
DS is off to his 6th form prom (went around lunchtime, apparently) and it's an overnighter. And one of the baskets of ironing, with his not-yet-ironed t-shirts and jeans and trouser has miraculously emptied. He must have wanted the clothes today.
He should have said:rotfl:
Piggers I would be hopping mad with your exH - in fact I think I would be gathering the evidence and applying for sole custody with minimal or no contact since he CLEARLY has no idea that this is, in fact, deadly serious. If he doesn't damage DS in the short term there is the impact of poor management of the diabetes on his long term healh. !!!!!! I spend part of my lunchtime monitoring the boy in my class with diabetes; checking his bloods and insulin, and making sure he checks during the day if he needs to; ringing mum if I'm worried.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Bit late but I'm in again, thanks for the lists juliejim. Not expecting to do so well this week - got lots on so time will be VERY limited! Will aim for level 2s I think - last week of term :j and last week of full time working
so (in theory at least!) plenty of time to catch up with the house from next week onwards.
I narrowly missed being one of the "special 10" (think I was number 11) so fortunately nobody has to be subjected to any nudity from me this week - phew! :rotfl:

I have done very little today. I've had a sore stomach and had to go back to bed. Since I have got up I have made chilli with chocolate for dinner, washed up, took Rabbits cage outside and gave it a good hose out, sorted his bedding and food noted I need to clip his nails again, stripped the livingroom cushion covers off, 2 x WM, [STRIKE]threw [/STRIKE] placed cushions out of the road, fed Mr Mac. When I was asleep OH took DD to supermarket and cut some of the grass. I have SS here now he's out back tinkering with his motor, DS1 not back from work yet and the other two are over the wall playing I'll get them in soon cause I need to hose them! nothing off my list but I will get to it tomorrow.cyclingyorkie wrote: »Cannot his family come and stay in a Travelodge near you? I mean it's not as if there isn't anything to do over here? Plenty of attractions they could combine with a trip to see you.....I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Level one and level two complete!! Enough for a Monday night - trashy tv and a glass of wine now0
