Hi everyone and a special welcome to all the other newbies - and I'm wearing my gold star with pride, Bonnie! (It hurts if you don't watch wear you pin it in week 3!)
A quiet start to the day here, usual breakfast for us, cat and wild birds (only one or two baby blackbirds today, it's quiet out there).
Have S&S kitchen and bathroom, after shower, and just going to put yesterday's washing away, then a bit of toast and another cuppa (Lamewolf!), and it's off to work for me today! After yesterday's chores we are still clean and tidy, good job, as I'm usually shattered after work.
Have a good day, good vibes to everyone, and catch up with you tonight.0 -
Himwhothinksheshouldbeobeyed and I have been plugging away with our 'flying' and it has become almost second nature now.
I haven't posted for an age as things have been really hectic here a new female Grandie arrived two weeks ago. The usual end of term and transfer to new school activities for DSS (we shall be so pleased when he breaks up on thursday as we are both shattered!)
Since I last posted (I think!) I have made loose covers for the sittingroom furniture and loads of goodies for the Grandie (little dresses, a quilt, a changing bag and some handfelted bunting with her name on). I have developed a passion for felting as the needles are so vicious I can release all my anger and frustrations:rotfl:
My garden is looking like a jungle, the fruit is rotting before it can ripen and if anyone mentions drought conditions again, I swear I shan't be responsible for my actions. I have a new disability scooter which has sat in the garage for weeks now and I haven't been anywhere in it because the weather has been so foul:mad:
Oh Well! thats about enough of my whinging. I hope you are all well and keeping busy

Hi all:wave:
I'm in as best I can again;:o I have four dogless days til Ted arrives, so hope to get the lists all done by the time he gets here – though with Mr LW wfh on Thursday, this could be a wee bit of a challenge.
Juliejim thanks for this week's lists – my own list is the kitchen today; extras-wise, the only plants I have are the basil and thyme on the kitchen windowsill, so that's easy as they get eaten before they get dusty,:D and Mr LW cleared all the ironing yesterday, including two dresses of mine!:A I said I'd do them if he left the ironing board up for me (I can't lift it myself) but he told me to hand them to him.:A:A:A
I got a bit of a lecture from the physio-terrorist on Saturday, so I've got instructions to be extra careful this week. I don't see her again til 4th August, as she didn't have any appointments available when Mr LW is available to take me til then, but we shall continue with Mr LW doing the gentle manipulation of the errant rib that she showed him; she says it's gradually going back into place, though I'm surprised cos it still hurts like anything.:(
Special 10 it's a tad chilly for Skyclad, I must admit, so I reckon it's OK if you robe up this week.;):D
I've washed yet another dress (which won't need ironing);) and a load of my underwear, which is having to dry indoors (surprise, surprise it's raining....) and I have a hand-wash only top to do in a bit.
I'm having trouble with my tax return– I've filled it all in online, double-checked it, triple-checked it, and I think I've done it correctly; but I keep panicking at the thought of clicking on “submit” so it's still sitting there in cyberspace, waiting to go.
CY I was so angry on your and your DS's behalf at his drink being spiked:mad: – that happened to my teetotal former neighbour, years ago, and she ended up in hospital, because her system is completely intolerant of alcohol. People don't think of the tragic consequences a silly prank like that could have.:mad::mad: Hope he's feeling better now.
DizzyK and Just Marsha welcome aboard!:hello:
*Wanders off into kitchen humming "Come Fly With Me"*:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
