Not a lot, but you can do a little...No-one likes price rises but there is not a lot you can do. You can cetainly leave but as ll the providers have gone up about the same what do you gain?0 -

I would expect a bill for 20 months of your contract unless you have it in writing that they will let you leave for no cost. As far as I['m aware all networks have this clause to allow them to do this.0 -
It's 30 days from the day the PAC is issued. If you use it early then you get charged for the rest of the 30 days.
I dont think it does. Anyway if you use your PAC code within the 30 days that its valid for you will only pay for the remainder of the 30 days.0 -
All the providers have done the same in one form or another. Three upped everything by 3.6% in May, Vodafone did it last year, and I think o2 did at the same sort of time.
Inflation means prices will go up, Foods, petrol, gas, water and so on have gone up just the same, companies have to pay increased costs to give you a service and that means you have to pay more for the service. Often these hidden costs have gone up far more than the cost of the service. I hire industrial plant for some events, the hire has not gone up, but delivery has shot up due to fuel costs, net result is the overall hire costs more than it did last year.

also in some respects i do agree, but we are in a double dip recession, also the increase is only affected with contract users not payg , sneaky move by knowing contract users are tied in, im going on payg and they will have to chase in the court for the rest for a fiver a month haha
they are the 2 points that to me are out of order0 -

They will certainly chase you and put debt collectors on to you. Hope you don't need any credit or a mortgage in the next 6 years...0 -

Can someone just clarify something for me please...
My contract with Tmob is up on the 17th of August and i've been reading about people being charged e.t.c for the PAC.
Do i need to call up Tmob today to cancel and request my PAC?
Then, when would i give my PAC to o2? I'm just trying to avoid paying any extra charges...
Any help would be greatly appreciated!0 -

Tmobile may charge you for the PAC - if they do there isn't much you can do about it.
If you get the PAC today it would be valid for 30 days i.e. until 16th August but they would normally confirm this.
If you use it prior to then you will be charged for the remaining days. To minimise costs you should use it close to the 16th August so you only pay for a few days when you will have 2 contracts.0
