I have a 4 year old and he has about 3 showers a week - he used to have a bath every day but we moved to a house with no bath and haven't saved the money to put the new bathroom in yet. He hates showers so it's a real mission.

My lot bath once a week and shower once or twice in between. Unless they have been playing in the rain or dirt and its an automatic hose-down.

The baby is different as he is 9mnths so gets far dirtier than the rest so is bathed more often.

Every night, but he's 6 months old and it's just what we do before bed, I suspect it'l become less frequent the older he gets.

Ours tend to have a bath a couple of times a week, but I'm lucky to get through a week without one (or occasionally both of them!) deciding to join me in the shower in the morning! I'm not sure whether to be pleased that they think of a shower as something to enjoy, or annoyed because they hog all the water!

I used to bathe them every evening as that was part of the settling-down-and-going-to-bed ritual.

We bath our 18 month old every evening, again more as routine and 'winding down' exercise.

We all have a bath every night,It is my relaxing period listening to my wierd music no one likes....Our 13yrs old dives in the shower...
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
  • Couple of times a week, They have a bath on a Sunday night ready for nursery/school on Monday no matter what though.

Mine (4 and 5) have a full bath and hairwash every Sunday, plus one or two showers in between. My eldest has sensitive skin and more frequent bathing makes her excema flare up. Plus they both have waist or bottom-length ringletty/curly hair which takes forever to dry (am dreading them catching nits!!)
