Having now received a 3 page e-mail about what we can and can't eat, drink, take with us, not take with us, photo not photo, sing, wear etc etc in the stadium our tickets are being returned. We can't be bothered with the hassle.

I'm intrigued as to how it will actually be enforced. OK - the official cars have Olympic livery - will anyone try and make a bootleg set if they already have a BMW? Or if they are using ANPR - clone a set of plates from an official car?

A doc a few months ago suggested that a great deal of "registrations" to use these lanes have been sold-off to the commercial limmo companies and firms providing private hospitality packages, as well as provided to non-competitive officials/families etc.

So much for inclusion in sport.

Stop whining you lot, we're all in it together don't you know. It is just some, and their chums, are more in it than others. Shame on you for wanting Lord Seb and his pals to be late for an important freebie :p

Slightly off topic, I know - but would there be any chance of posting the email (or a link) - if that's allowed? it would be very interested to see what's in it.

    TIA

    Zero Gravitas.

This annoys me intensely. If I was travelling to the olympics and saw a sign saying "Olympic traffic only" I'd assume I could use the lane, and then get a £130 fine.

Road markings that don't comply with the highway code and aren't listed here: http://www.legislation.gov.uk/uksi/2002/3113/contents/made aren't supposed to be enforceable, was my understanding.

The whole olympic thing was always going to be a colossal waste of money, I guess we know now how the plan to recoup that is going to work.

Doesn't matter if its in the highway code or not. If they make amendments to the RTA they can enforce it.

What I'd like to know is who is Lisa Simpson going down on in that logo in the top left hand of the page?
Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.

Together we can make a difference.
  • They should tell the contenders to travel by train, most of the venues are served by direct trains from the Olympic park.

Whilst I'm broadly supportive of The McDonalds-Visa Games (tm, c etc etc), I don't like how the hard working taxpayers who have paid for all of this are now quite literally being shoved to one side to make room for the elite.

    Where are these amendments? :)
