Just got my Flybe card. Unfortunetly they did not increase my limit to reflect the BT that I put in for when making the application :(

    The limit stated £1000.

    Update

Just called Creation to activate my card and have been told that all the BT I requested has gone through (£1900). The rep said my credit limit is £2300 and not £1000 as it stated on the card info sheet that came with the Flybe card :j

I Still haven't recieved my card or pin yet (1 week to the day of online application) but I did get an email 3 days ago stating

Welcome aboard! Thank you for applying for the Flybe card. We're pleased to confirm your application has been successful and your card will be with you within 7 to 10 days.

The email then went on to say enjoy the benefits of the card blah blah blah.
Except now it states one of the benefits being 9 month on balance transfers.

I applied for the Flybe card that said 12 months BT and it still states 12 months on BT on the website.

Can they do this (lower the BT length after approval)?
I don't get it. I have emailed them a couple days ago about this, but no reply yet.

    Update
The message stating that the card has only 9 months on BT was automatically generated by their system according to the Rep.

He said that this was a promotional offer that are given to their customers which is generated automatically (to existing or new customers).

He said said it was highly likely that when they searched my report, the system must have flagged it as being good enough to be in their 0% section as only certain accounts are put into this positive section and are deserving of 0% promotions.

He said he could see that this 0% marker is showing on my account and is separate from the 12 months 0% BT which is applied to my account.

He then went onto say that I am free to apply for any of the Creation cards if I wanted.

He then went onto say that I am free to apply for any of the Creation cards if I wanted.

Just applied for another Creation card a month after getting the Flybe card. The Flybe card only let me do 3 BT on the online application form, but needed to do one more (Vanquis). The underwriter OKed the 3 BT but I was too late to submit the Vanquis BT as the credit limit was already given according to the 3 BT's I made.

The rep said that in his experience, a lot more people get accepted for the creation 12 month BT\ 3 months purchases card than they do with the Flybe card.
He said as I was accepted for the Flybe card, I would almost certainly be accepted for the creation card.

So I put in the application and was given the 7-10 day message, whereas I was accepted instantly with the Flybe.

The Flybe search is the only card in the last several months that is on my Equifax report (BT search a well for their broadband, but that comes under utility account I think).

The rep said I was free to apply for as many Creation cards as I wanted and advised me that I could apply straight for another Creation card a couple of days after I applied for the Flybe (no waiting period).

He advised that I should wait a month though just till the account showed up on my credit report to say that I was searched for the credit card and was accepted for it.

I have waited over a month and have applied for the red Creation card.
My Vanquis card has 45% APR which I intended to BT if accepted.

What do you think my chances are taking into consideration this scenario?

    Many Thanks

ring and ask to speak to an underwriter and tell them that the application will have been flagged as a duplicate on their systems (although different cards within a 3 month period it flags as a duplicate application)

I got 3 cards in 2 months and 2 of them within a week under this method

Wouldn't they see I already have a Creation flybe card using their internal data as well as through my credit search, leading them to already assume it's a duplicate application?

A underwriter will assess my report anyway right as they will have to process my BT I made?

By the way what limits did you get on your cards and which Sygma cards did you apply for?

    Thanks

this was 2009/2010 that i applied for them low limits £1k on first then 650 on other 2.

Without manual underwriter intervention it will be disregarded as a duplicated application therefore you need to ring them to intervene otherwise the application wont get processed.

I will ring in the morning and see whats the situation, thanks.

I have read through some posts of people being declined straight away when applying too soon with the same company (duplicate applications). I thought that mine being 7 -10 message meant that manual intervention is needed (therefore an underwriter would take a look). I didn't know that 7- 10 day message could automatically produce a decline without manual intervention.

Called this morning, Card has been approved with a limit £1560 at 18.9% (big difference between this and my Vanquis @ 45%). This was enough for the Vanquis £1200 BT I requested when making the application.:j

Just got a vanquis letter through as well saying my limit will rise to £2500 after my next statement. Thanks Vanquis for helping me to rebuild my credit rating, but it's time for you to retire now, in four pieces at the bottom of my bin.:D

As I have had the sub prime cards (vanquis then cap on and finally earlier this year Aqua) and they have all started to offer higher credit limits and the old credit file is looking better, decided to try for a creation card.

Last time (about a year ago) was rejected straight away, but this time got the 7-10 days message so fingers crossed. If I get it hopefully its goodbye Vanquis.

How quick have people had a yay or neigh recently after the refferral?

    Ali x

Forgot to say it was the Flybe card.

When I got the 7-10 day message for the Creation card, I rang up 2 days later and was told it was already seen by one of their underwriters and had been granted as well as my requested balance tranfer had been started by them.

You only have to wait that long for them to reply with a nay or yay by post.

When you got the 7-10 day message, it would have given you a application reference number at the end of the message.
Just phone them on Tuesday and quote the reference, they will tell you there and then if you were accepted or declined and your credit limit and your APR.

Good luck with you application and please post what the outcome was :)

Did you apply for a balance transfer when you made your application (I had all the subprime cards like you and transfered all the balances to the new Creation cards). If so then your credit limit will be ajusted accordingly. If not then you may have a lower start limit.
