I'm going to wait for the card to come next week (hopefully they will not reverse their decision in that time) to see what the final limit is as well as to see if they did a BT at all.
If they could only balance transfer some of the BT that I stated on the app, then I might just apply for the red creation 12 months BT card as well and hope that I am accepted and can BT the rest on that card.
Some people have applied within a couple of days (some even on the same day) of the applications and have been accepted on both.
Here's hoping.0 -
Go back in your hole mate.
Cards with higher APRs:
Vanquis
Capital One Classic
Capital One Progress
Barclaycard Initial
Barclaycard Classic
Barclaycard Gold
Aqua Card
Amex Platinum Cashback
etc etc.
do you find 18.9% low and acceptable you fool ?
to be honest im glad people like you pay these rates because it pays my interest on my savings...i take my comment back0 -
When I applied for a the Creation balance transfer card last year I put down £3400 for a balance transfer and was given a instant £2000 limit at the time of application.
When the card arrived it had a £4000 pound credit limit and my balance had been transferred in full.
I would wait until the card arrives.
I echo this comment. When I applied for the Sygma Silver card last year I asked for two balance transfers of about £4500 total. I was given an instant limit of £2000 but within two weeks my limit was increased to £5150 and the second balance transferred across automatically.0 -

Credit card APR doesn't matter if your transferring to a 0% deal and either pay it off before the deal ends or transfer it to another deal.
Whats more foolish - having a card with an APR of 18.9% paying no interest on a 0% deal (like to OP is proposing) or having a card with an APR of 12.9% where interest is being charged?! I know which one I would rather have.0 -

can i ask , does this huge debt balance available to you make you feel well off having such credit available to you or does it worry you , hope you dont mind me asking0 -

Neither worries me or makes me feel rich. This particular card is paid off and cancelled but even before I cancelled it the card sat empty for months after my deal ended. Having lots of credit available is tempting for some people but I see it as a flexibility option to spread payments for larger items rather than 'free' money.
If you're sensible with your credit there is no reason to worry about having a high limit.0 -

Fool? Hilarious! Particularly as you think 18.9% is unusually high. Hint, it isn't - many cards are well over 50%, and Vanquis can go up to 90% on cash advances. Now who is the fool...
And of course, even when I had a 49.9% Vanquis card, I haven't spent a penny on interest. The rate could be 1,000,000% for all I care...0 -

Did the website not allow you to submit the application for the red creation card when you put in your bank account details (error on banking information entered)?0
