    I have made some investments:
    • 3 artists pens arrived today from an internet order - £7.74
    • ordered a new insect field guide from Amazon for more ideas - £3.74
    • a quick trip into the market town for various chores and a visit to the craft store for brushes and sponges - £15.54
    • was directed to a local photographer who has a small framing come ironing (?) shop off the high street. She was lovely. Very helpful and gave me lots of tips about mounting and framing.
Came home inspired and completed some small paintings of a Mason Wasp and a Lesser Banded Hoverfly plus started a Honey Bee and a Bilberry Bumble Bee. The new pens made a huge difference and I'm much happier with my wings now.

Will finish everything off tomorrow and take them to be mounted when I go back to town on Thursday. It may all come to nought but, if nothing else, I'm continuing a hobby I love.

Lentils with Peas, Bacon & Feta from the meal plan for supper tonight.

Now, where are you hiding you caterpillars....

    Take care all

I'm guessing you have a Mac? I had the same issue with thunderbug type things going down mine and then creeping around my screen, very bizarre.

The new hobby is fantastic, good for you - if you can turn it in to making some money, then even better. I'm guessing a few family members will receive them for Christmas?

My sister is well in to cross stitch at the moment and I think we're all receiving cross stitch something or others this year.....

Hi Lulabelle - not a Mac but does have a plasma screen so that may have something to do with it. I now have dead bugs in my screen and they'll be there for ever

I won't be giving any pictures out as Christmas presents - I wouldn't want people to feel obliged to display something they really didn't like :rotfl:Besides, I'm not sure bugs are for everyone are they. Hope you like cross stitch ;)

I think their proper name is Thrips. They can wriggle into pictures and get stuck under the glass but I've never seen them in a computer before.

I have a shop  I opened one today on Folksy. There's nothing in it yet of course but it's a start. Two more paintings completed - a Bee Fly (one of my favourite little critters) and a Red Sand Wasp. I've decided that the Mason Wasp I did earlier is pants and shouldn't see the light of day so that leaves 5 I can take to the framing lady on Friday. Pictures of the Bee Fly and a Bilberry Bumble Bee below.

Went into town with two of the mums today. Picked up some pants for Mr F as they were on offer. Just a replacement deodorant for me and a sandwich lunch so not too expensive. We stopped off on the way home at a boot fair just to see whether it was worth doing. It starts at 12.00 so no early Sunday get up required - that's my type of boot fair :rotfl: The traders I spoke to said they'd had a good fair and were coming back next week so I might look into sharing a table with across-the-lane-neighbour.

Smoked Haddock Chowder from the meal plan for supper tonight and another order placed with Waitr0$£ so that we can eat next week. Hopefully about £15 under budget this time.

    Night, night all.
