Lovely piccies - but can't you do some flutterbies

The Bee Fly a bit much for you Gally? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Maybe I should have posted a warning. The pictures don't look this big in reality - they've come out huge on here!
I probably will do some flutterbies - although I prefer moths. I really love old entomology prints and Victorian field sketches so the bugs are my favourites. Not to everyone's taste I know but, don't worry, there won't be any spiders!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:I'm afraid that in the good, the bad and the ugly world of insects it's the ugly I am drawn too. Just for you and Gally though I will attempt a ladybird today.

Thank you all for kind comments - particularly as I know bugs are not everyone's cup of tea. In fact, I may be the only person in the world who is prepared to hang gribblies on my wall

A local florists has agreed to display my work in their shop
So pleased that they think my work is good enough and it's given me the confidence to approach some other local shops in the future. I've had to buy some frames though.
I decided I would list my paintings in Folksy unmounted, for various reasons:- it makes them more affordable for people
- they can choose mounts and frames according to their personal taste and d!cor
- I don't have to outlay any more money
I'm a bit torn at the moment because I love painting the uglies of the insect world but the prettier creatures are more popular. Do I stick with what I love or bow to commercial realities? What do you think?
Anyhoo, enough of painting and back to MS.

Both! You can always do half and half, see what sells, and evaluate from there.
Well done though, that's great news! And I agree with you about the framing. Good luck0
