Another vote for doing both - if the 'pretty' ones may be more popular it seems daft not to do some on that basis. I like the idea of moths, as opposed to butterflies, though - there's something about them :D

Good luck with the paintings, unusual might be good as less competition but I agree with the others just see how it goes.

I'd never have been brave enough to show my stuff to anyone without your encouragement :)

Half and half it is then. I listed a Green Tiger Beetle, a Wasp Beetle and (just to keep Gally and Megela happy) a Ladybird today. I don't want to keep scaring/boring you with pictures on my diary so, if you're interested (and I won't be offended if you're not) here's a link to the shop http://folksy.com/shops/BeeGardenArt. Please bear in mind that it's very new and I've got some work to do on graphics and displaying the paintings better. I've fessed up to family and friends on FB too - scary!

  • FS, you've got talent!

IMHO, those insects with a wider girth  have come out well - the tiger beetle and ladybird. Others are also really nice :T:T:T:T

Thank you Tilly. I actually really enjoyed doing the ladybird. Think I might do a bigger one with 3 ladybird with increasing spot numbers - will call it 'Spot the Difference' :rotfl:

I've had my fingers crossed for you and Mr T since I heard. Sending positive vibes.

I think your absolutely right US. I'm feeling more confident with each painting and I think it shows. Also experimenting with colour more and liking the results.

Thank you for your encouraging comments.
