Oh yes!! I like the sound of a bug hotel :T I have been gathering bits and pieces, and have a photograph from a magazine to give me an idea of the structure (although photograph had pine cones, so will have to add these later on).February13 - £74990 (or thereabouts)

Hi Fortune
Hope you don't mind me stopping by; I've been reading a couple of diaries from the start and can see that some kind of 'egg curry' has been referred to a few times as being delish
I can't seem to find the entry again but I think I saw that the original recipe had come from you?
Can you recall the one I mean and if so, would you mind sharing the recipe again please?
Regards

Remember this?
Well, those picture frames have languished in a drawer ever sinceFortune_Smiles wrote: »The Country Living Fair was a fabulous day out yesterday with plenty of laughs to boot. I haven't added up the full cost yet though so (holds breath) here goes:...- ...bought two hand-made, absolutely stunning, decoupage photo/picture frames just for me. I fell in love with them the moment I saw them and nothing else at the show caught my eye. £65  and that was with £6.50 off because I haggled
Feel a little guilty about them but didn't William Morris say "Have nothing in your houses that you do not know to be useful or believe to be beautiful" and I do believe they are truly beautiful
I thought they'd be perfect for a vintage botanical print but couldn't find anything to fit. Getting the watercolours out yesterday prompted me to try painting something myself and I had a go at some bumble bees. Surprisingly, they turned out ok. One I'm going to redo as I think it looks a bit amateurish but I think I can get away with the other. Very proud of myself. I haven't been able to produce anything worth hanging up 'til now. I'll see if I can work out how to post a picture.
Other stuff:- fish pie for supper yesterday and a portion left over for this evening. Yay! No cooking :T
- cleaned the inside of my Landie - hasn't been done for over 2 years

- a successful caterpillar hunt. Not sure the giant mutant cabbages are going to survive them though. Netting is definitely the answer for next year
- found 33p of Mr F's change lying about - I think he may have left it out for me :A Food for Mr Marmite
- a badly overdue manicure and pedicure planned next whilst relaxing in front of the TV

Only beautiful to Mr F I think natty so we can still be friends. It's a start. Doesn't compare to all the beautiful watercolour bees I found via G00gl£ but you never know, if I keep practising... :rotfl:
